In cockpit video from the back seat of Poker 1 taken during the Tornado GR4 Role Demo at RAF Leuchars.
The video starts with the run in towards the airfield and captures the entire sequence up to the pairs formation departure at the end of the show.
Post the demo the aircraft recovered back to their home base at RAF Lossiemouth.

Its a shame the Army are moving to Leuchars. I have heard fighter jets all my life and just love the jets. Now its the army :(

I wish commitments on the Tornado fleet would allow this again, they were the best thing on the circuit. Bring back Poker 1 & 2 before the out of service date for one last season!!!

What a video, Truly brilliant. Fantastic recruitment vid for RAF Aircrew. Pity the Tornado GR4 is not a new aircraft because if I were to become a RAF Pilot, This is my dream aircraft to fly.

These guys always put on such a good show, it will be missed. Surely they have some of the best jobs imaginable also? I'd give anything that is mine to give for a ride in one of these, they get paid to do it. Congratulations.

Do the wings sweep back according to speed automatically, similar to the F-14 Tomcat? The Tornado still has a lot to offer the RAF, operating alongside it's younger sibling - Typhoon

i think it it can be set to manual or automatic. manual would obviously be a lot better in a combat situation. The Tornado requires a lot more manual input than its little brother the Typhoon. The Typhoon basically fly's itself and has a tonne of limiters on it making the pilots job a lot easier

The Gr/IDS version was manual & although the RAF F3s were also meant to have auto wing sweep. Only the Saudi F3s ended up having it (basically because our government's a bunch of tight arses).
