10 years later...it never gets old! What an absolute beast! DJ brought the sort of winner's mentality that is irreplaceable. He was the Ray Lewis of the SEC.
The only time you can ever see a player get three fifteen yard penalties on 3 straight plays and not have one bad thing to say about it. Tossing the ball into the crowd seems like such a fitting end to that pick six. Love Jungleboi. Gonna miss him bigtime
#12 is Brison Williams and yes the penalty was on him, however it should have been on D.J. He was the one who made the horse collar tackle, watch closely, it is #36.
So is he supposed to politely ask him to get on the ground? This targeting penalty is going to be a real problem now not to mention it is VERY hard to call since accidents do happen and sometimes you cannot avoid a bad collision. It should not be called unless it is clear that there was actual "targeting" of the player such as the defender wanted to injure the receiver instead of making a tackle. Just my 2 cents but I feel like this penalty will force players to not make tackles in key moments when it really matters for fear of getting a 15 yrd penalty.
The first call is spot on. It's a horse-collar tackle. The second one was pretty bad. Firstly, the receiver takes two steps after turning his head and also ducks his head for impact. That's not a defenseless player. Also, even though the receiver ducked his head low, most of the contact was with the shoulder/chest. Just doesn't look like a good call to me.
I am a clemson fan but i went to high school with DJ and think all these calls are crap. lol I was pretty pumped when i found out he pick 6 and threw the ball in the stands. Way to go Jungle Boi.
It's kind of like how in Monopoly, 3 doubles in a row sends you to jail. With JungleBoi, 3 PFs in a row makes him swag so hard he's on fire and scores a TD.
I'm an Arkansas fan and I have nothing against south c. In fact I thought they played a great game but I'm not too sure what I think about the commentator, he seems rather annoying, but that could just be because I'm not a south c fan.
