Most overrated hit ever. Clowney didn't make a great move he was unblocked due to an error on the O-line and he outweighed the UM running back by nearly 100 pounds.
The COMPLETE. ABSOLUTE. BALLS of Chris Petersen to make THOSE playcalls in the Fiesta Bowl. I remember watching it live going, "This is the craziest thing I've ever seen."
The chief referee @3:35 was a beast on that play. His reaction time to the block, and his insane pace as he sprints into position to get the best view of the finish of the play. He was one of the most athletic people on the field on that play.
Most overrated hit ever. Clowney didn't even make a good move or blast a lineman who was unblocked due to a mistake on the O line. He also outweighed the UM RB but nearly 100 pounds and was a foot taller.
@@xrandy11what’s impressive is how explosive the hit was. For a line man at 266 pounds to get off the line as quick as he did is impressive regardless of missed assignments.
Jadeveon Clowney's instant-justice hit is my favorite college football play ever. Some guys just have that extra gear they can kick it into if it's called for. And boy, was it ever called for.
We didn’t even know slim until after that hit and play let’s be real not hating and he still gettting contracts n the league but without that play he isn’t number 1 overall just speaking facts
They didn’t block the punt. The punter fumbled it up in the air which was returned. The returner broke his hip in the end zone. That was the only second MSU led in the game
@@lancemanyon7645right 💯💯 and the CRAZY part is .... the ONLY way Michigan loses that game ... is this exact sequence of events. literally the ONLY way.
@@franklinbruce7121 As a Michigan fan I would say the punter effing that up was in about the only way possible for MSU to win. Crazy play and glad those types of things seem to be in rear view mirror
Three of those plays occurred in back-to-back-to-back weeks during the 2015 season. First was the Michigan punter having trouble with the snap, then Georgia Tech returning the blocked field, and finally Miami returning the kick against Duke.
OF course, no one remembers the aftermath of that Duke-Miami return for a TD. After ten minutes of replay inaction, the on-field officials ruled it a TD. A week later, the ACC office said that the refs erred (primarily in using replay to reverse the "block-in-the-back" penalty, for which replay isn't allowed, but also admitting that a Miami player with the ball was down at one point) and suspended the crew for a game.
It only happened because the refs called a non-existent offside penalty against GA's Tyler Simmons that negated a blocked punt, giving Bama a first down and keeping them alive in regulation time. Google it and you see that the head referee admitted not only that GA was not offside, but also that he himself missed a false start cal against the Bama blocking backs on that play deep in Bama's own territory.
Let’s see some pics of that West Jawja trophy case!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I know, no comparison. If there was ever a Bride’s maid, Aubruuuuun would be the poster bastard child. Too bad Planned Parenthood didn’t exist around the end of the East Alabama Male College tenure.
There's like 50 plays I could think to add in here, but also none of these that I would take out and even a few that I had forgotten about!! Great compilation!
That hit from Clowney was the most beautiful and satisfying hit I've ever seen in college football. Glad the prior play was shown because that 1st down call was disgustingly outrageous. So fortunate I watched that live.
@CineScope0 Funny. None of the National Championship gear, the trophies, the record books; none of it has an asterisk and it never will. But if saying it does helps you cope, go ahead.
Kick 6 is still the greatest play of all time. Winner goes on to SEC Championship and National Title. Plus it was during the biggest rivalry of all time. Greatest play ever.
Just saw highlights of the OSU PSU game recently and man what a game. Looked like OSU game all day and every team made so many wild mistakes. Crazy fun game.
Absolutely nothing compares to the Chris Davis return during the 2013 Iron Bowl . 11 years later and I still remember exactly where I was, who I was with, and what I was eating. Was only 9 at the time, even then it still gave me the chills. College football has been my favorite ever since.
I was 34 and remember who I was with, cooking dinner, cant remember what, and had to get closer to the tv to see the replays. I was just like wow and not even an auburn fan.
I don't know how a play gets on this list, but Colorado's miracle at Michigan with Kordell Stewarts 73 yd hail mary on the last play of the game for a touchdown is pretty epic and probably has been viewed quite a bit.
@@kevinbrezinski2544 actually I was born in 🤢 Xichigan. Don't tell anyone please. So, the news is talking about Matt Weiss today. It appears he hacked into Ohio State's practice footage. I guess the computer crimes he broke are pretty serious. Probably why the FBI has been there for a year. I'm sure he's another lone wolf though. They have a lot of them up there, and they are all cheating independently of each other. Go figure. 😂
Most legendary play calling in history from Boise State. Also a top 5 game of all time and an incredible storybook ending. Couldn’t have written it better in Hollywood.
Nope! Most overrated hit ever. It's not like he made a great move or bulled over a lineman, he was unblocked due to an error on the O-line. And Smith, the Michigan RB was 5'7 (at the most) and weighed about 170. Clowney was a foot taller and had almost 100 pounds on him.
I made myself literally sick from screaming so much during the S. Caro Mich game. Only thing that would have mad "the hit" better was if Clowney got up with the ball and ran a TD. The last S. Caro drive for a touchdown last play was still beautiful.
6:29 block in the back 6:32 highly illegal blindside block 6:40 yet another highly illegal block in the back/blindside. Hilarious this play was upheld. Only for Miami would that happen.
OSU-Miami national championship game OT should be on this list with Craig Krenzal, also the fumblerooskie Miami-Nebraska national championship, and Choke at the Doak (FSU, FLorida).
I can’t think of a better call than McDonough’s trouble with the snap. The sheer craziness of that play combined with the voice cracks make me laugh every time 😂
No Bluegrass Miracle? LSU @ Kentucky, with a 75-yard last play LSU winning TD, with the losing coach getting a Gatorade bath, and a losing team's fans climbing a goalpost.
I'm an AU fan so I have my favs but the Bluegrass Miracle deserves to be on here 100%, I remember exactly where I was as a little kid and how crazy it was that UK thought they had won
@@stephenstorey1864 Thank you. Even the play alone was awesome. Add to that Gatorade-soaked losing coach and losing team's fans climbing the goalpost, and this becomes even more epic.
"2nd down now. Deep strike. Got the big man. Crabtree! Pulls free! And touchdown Red Raiders with a second to go!" One of the best calls of all time! Loved every second of being at that game!
I remember casually flipping on the Michigan vs SC as the 4th down was just snapped and saw the bogus 1st down they gave them. Ive never benn so hyped as a spectator in my life when thqt clowney hit happened
The Kick Six is hands down the best Usually more times than not when Auburn and Bama are both ranked in the top 4 or 5 the winner usually goes to the Natty
5 Alabama plays, only one was for Alabama. The greatest 15 year dynasty of college football, 6 national championships. Greatest college coach ever. And one Alabama positive play. Gawd..
look, I hate Bama but honestly its because most of their games they dominated, hardly any close wins because Bama has been so far ahead of everyone, Its really a testament to the dynasty
AND, i feel like nobody gives that play and Tua the credit they deserve.. true freshman finally coming in for reps in the natty.. looked off the entire defense and then dropped an absolute dime. the best possible pass to be thrown in that situation. and i’m a UF grad.
Most of these are teams scoring against Alabama to win close games.... they are only on this list because the team they scored on was Alabama.... No Doug Flutie? or is this an 'internet only' most watched list?
The best part about the GT field goal block return TD is that the guy who returned it ran into the end zone with his twin brother. 20 and 17 lance and Lawrence Austin. Also one of them is the guy who knocks his teammate out in 2 TMZ videos lol
@@stevemiller1345 what is if it’s not Deshaun hitting his receiver in the corner vs Bama When he took the chip? But even that has nothing close to the magnitude of UT vs USC. NOTHING!!
@@akeemalston7506 it and usc is unremarkable. Boise Oklahoma is the best game of all time. Ut and usc isn't even in the same ballpark. Average game at best
So many great moments. I vividly remember the season when Oregon dropped FSU. FSU deserved it so badly. Undefeated, but they played literally NOBODY all year except Louisville (the only ranked team they played all year iirc, and they were at the BOTTOM of the top 25), who they almost lost to, but the arrogance on display was something else. Oregon exposed them BADLY in that semifinal and I enjoyed every moment of it, but I'd argue the real title game was OSU vs Bama in the other semifinal game, as whoever won had Oregon beat easily, as OSU proved.
Those were before we had internet. Every play on this video, with the exception of the Cal-Stanford game, occurred after 2005, which was the year RU-vid started.
