My Jetta stopped completely, had to get it towed home, throwing multiple miss fire codes. I replaced the coil pack, still no start. The fuse was blown! All ok now! This video helped a lot, thank you!
Thanks for this video. I have Jetta 2013 with exactly the same problem. I changed the sparks plugs, wires and coil.I hope the problem is gone after that. The garage told me that they didnt find anything wrong. Im becoming crazy with this intermittent problem.
@@JLsAutoSolution No more error so far, but I think the original problem was the coil. I have a passat also 2014 TDI. The light is on in my dash. I checked with the odb and said that the NOX sensor is reading intermitent. I put a new sensor and still. DO you have any idea what could be the problem?
@@rogermg80 just a question quick thought. But isn't the vw/Audi TDI emission systems under warranty for a longer period due to the Falsified information during emission testing? I would check that out first. It may be under warraty
@@JLsAutoSolution Yes , it is. But the odb shows that the NOX sensor is reading the intermitent due a ground. Like the wiring make a ground from time to time.
Man thanks for making this video! My car, also a 2014 VW Jetta 2.0 non-turbo, is having the exact same symptoms and same misfiring codes. Have you ever known this to be accompanied with oil in the air intake? Both these thing stated happening a couple days after an oil change.
honestly it may just be coincidence. a small amount of oil in the intake is normal due to pcv operation, unless you have like .5L of oil in the intake, I would not worry about it too much. I would concentrate more on the plugs wires and coils for your issue.. hope this helps,.
Quick question would this relate anything to an EPC/engine light on? I’m decently knowledgeable on fixing issues. Wish I had an obd2 reader lol The car starts up perfectly once driving it’s starts to stutter so I’m thinking it’s the pedal sensor or map sensor? Possibly throttle body? I just replace the air filter and cleaned the throttle body it helped with idling but stills stutter as I shift gears and press into the gas pedal. Strange. Unfortunately no auto parts stores are near me so I’m waiting on a obd2 sensor from amazon. Any thoughts?
Hey Vincent. Until you check for DTCs I would not proceed with any part replacement..or that likely you are having a misfire.. but to what extent I cannot say.. get the scanner then proceed with diagnosis.. the repair. Thanks for watching
JL's Auto Solution thanks for your fast reply! I actually went to autozone and they printed the code printout it’s P0304 cylinder 4 misfire detected . It’s saying either a bad spark plug or coil pack. Yep you were right, it’s a misfire!
Hi Fausto. in the video i state that in video that pins 2/4 is your power and ground-2 being power and 4 being ground. making sure the key is on. if the light is not lighting, hook the light to ground and touch the power, if it lights power is good- if is does not not then you then you have a power issue.....to check ground, hook the light to power and touch pin 4. If the light lights ground is good, if is does not then you have a ground issue. hope this helps. thanks for watching
