2012 Yard Haunt Preview - Canyon Trail Cemetery 

We spend 4 solid days setting up the end of September / beginning of October. Then we spend time throughout October finishing and maintaining. Well over 100 hours to setup, not including tear down and the time spent throughout the year. However, well worth every minute!

I can simply write that this is one of the most creative and well-crafted haunts I've seen. It flows very well from scene to scene. Nice Job!

The compressor is located in the garage. The cylinders are sealed and are stainless steel so the could actually be submerged under water without issue. In fact, for 2013, we will be making a prop which is submerged. The airline has no issue with the rain. The only issue it has is from sunlight, which over time will weaken it. As a resutl, we pitch all the 1/4" airline at the end of each season and start with fresh for the next year.

Thanks! We get about 800 TOT's and many more adults and kids whom never make it up the drive for candy. All told, well over 2,000 people on Halloween alone.

I did the same with my unused toe pincher but since I don't use rebar I wont build a fence for a few years to come, so even with the chiller my fog will eventually escape. I'm certain I've ran across the building process of your fence (monsterlist or halloweenforum)before and was inspired to do one then. I think I may have stumbled on your haunt for years without realizing, if so thanks for the inspiration. =)

The controller cards and other electronics are in water resistant NEMA enclosures, similar to boxes used for cable connections.

@missbuffytails - Thanks! There's a reason for so many toe-pinchers. 2 are fog chillers and another 2 are lined and server as ice chests for beverages for our parties

Other than reducing pedestrian traffic, not really. Being in the Chicago area and having the display up for the whole month of October, we have to plan on anything we building being able to survive whatever Mother Nature can throw at us. Any of the motors can handle rain and the the cylinders for the pneumatics are stainless steel. The electronic controllers are housed in near water proof NEMA boxes.

By far the best and most creative on youtube ! I've never seen so many toe pinchers in one haunt, also pretty sure you stole the first popup from an MIT lab lol. Liked and subscribed !

They are triggered by motion sensors, though there is some programming which will help prevent them being triggered everytime someone walks by, which is why I had trouble getting some of them to trigger while I was filming.

We started in 2006 with the Flying Crank Ghost and Crypt. It has grown from there.

We use a web gun from Minions Web. It is a glue gun which has a connection to an air compressor to blow the hot glue into webs.

We are using MR16 LED bulbs running on 12 volts.

Thanks! You know how some people leave their Christmas lights up all year.......{grin} Actually, we have a set of FAQ's printed for people who stop by and that is the most asked question. The short answer is everywhere! Everything breaks down and let's just say you don't want to play Tetris with us! A lot goes into our crawl space and rafters of the garage. We also store some at a relative's home.
