2 years later, how is this setup working out? I have a 2013 that needs shocks and struts. Hard to argue with the Megan Racing stuff when stock replacement parts are real close in cost.
The shocks, springs, and struts are still really nice. The mounts do need to be replaced soon as they are getting worn out. It is at the 75,000 mile mark again so this is normal.
@@ivanlindsey my 2013 just rolled over 65k miles. But the strut mounts are trashed...probably lot rot. The rest of the car is spotless. But I think it might be time to drop it and move to a different wheel and tire setup. Was thinking 15x6.5s, ET38. 195/50R15s. I bought the car with an ugly pair of wheels with the same specs and 195/60s. And I hate the setup anyway. 🤣
If you thought the car was stiff before, you don"t wanna do it. I had to set the stiffness to max to keep the tires and fenders from kissing. I built this one to go fast through mountains so I'm ok with it. Anyone with back problem probably should not.
@@ivanlindsey Almost seems like the fitment is wrong then if you can't run them with decent dampening. The car is definitely not stiff as stock, was honestly hoping to stiffen it up a bit for exactly that reason; mountain passes 😊. This is my mother's car and she really likes the sportiness of my cars (E46 M3, Pontiac Solstice) and I wanted to give her a VERY small taste of decent suspension, 😂
