The Steelers finished last season 8-8 with controversy swirling the proud organization. Many of long time leaders such as Aaron Smith, James Farrior, Hines Ward, James Harrison, and Casey Hampton are gone.
That alone would be enough to drive most organizations into the ground but the Steelers are also suffering the loss of several younger members as well, with both Mike Wallace and Keenan Lewis moving on this off season.
This year is a turning point for the Steelers. We will see just how well their drafting and training will pan out against the competition. Beyond skill the team needs to identify new leaders and show it can fight adversity to rise and reclaim their grasp on the AFC North.
