Raynier Breton not at all man! The video is very detailed! Make sure to get 3m tape, maybe some zip ties to tidy up the wires but that’s about it. How detailed the video was, was actually the selling point for me with this particular product :D

Mario Caballero Hi Mario, I bought electrical parts cleaner and basically took apart center console, radio, glove box, knee level air bags, side kick panel , right side of the glove box as in this video, and passenger AC console amd just cleaned ALL the connectors and reconnected them. I had found coffee gunk jammmed in couple of connectors from previous owner. One of the connectors probably did the trick. Good luck

Is there any way to link the final connection wire back (the one you connect to your phone) through the center console and connect it to the USB plug-in that is inside the center storage compartment? This would make this set-up seem tidier in my opinion.
Unfortunately this is not possible for IS models. Alternatively you may route the USB wire to the center console so you can keep the factory USB functions while adding an additional USB connection for Carplay

Yes you may listen to the FM radio while using Google Maps at the same time on the screen. However, the turn by turn voice will not be heard if you use it this way. We recommend downloading FM radio application on your phone.
Will the audio quality be the same as the factory’s quality. Also will it shows when someone is calling and will I be able to answer using control on the steering wheel ?

Correct this reuses the factory screen. Future iOS and Android OS updates should be compatible. If any issues arises we will provide a firmware to ensure functionality.

So what would happen if I didn't change the audio input to aux? Would i be able to hear the radio/bluetooth? Would it be possible to play sound through bluetooth or through the phone?
John Door correct if you leave it in bluetooth you will hear Bluetooth. All audio will work except for turn by turn voice directions and Siri responses if you keep it in Bluetooth mode. If you leave it on Radio mode all you would hear is radio.
Would you guys consider doing the 10.25 screen upgrade for those with the 14-16 IS that like to have the wider screen? I know some Chinese companies make some but I trust you guy more if you had that option.
Dumb question, and I’m sure it’s been asked before, but is there a way to move the screen forward so that it’s more accessible? The screen being tucked back like that makes a touchscreen less practical.
Apple Car play is meant to be used with the touchscreen with a finger. I tried to use it on my friend's BMW... 4 series and controlling the car play with a dial was not cool. Samwthing is happening here on IS. the installer is using the mouse? ( the Lexus controller to move the pointer. ) I don't thin you will get used to it. Apple Car play is the best when you can interactive it via touchscreen. ( ie. Aftermarket headunit.... like Pioneer NEX 4200.. or Honda Fit.... or Ford Fusion ).
I just got a 2015 Lexus IS 250 F-Sport. how do i know if it comes with factory navigation? My dealership told me they couldn’t install carplay but i’m pretty sure my car qualifies for it

My OEM radio unit on my 2014 is250 randomly starts rebooting repetitively and I believe I have a faulty unit. The screen itself looks to be working fine because the reverse camera has no issues displaying. Would this system help with this issue? Or do I need a functioning radio unit to use this system?
Hows that mark levinson sound system? I'm jealous lol, when i got mine, i had to do without a premium system because i couldn't find any with the red seats and the mark levinson.

Why would I buy this when I can get the whole screen unit replaced for cheaper than this for my is250? The head unit also utilizes the whole area as the screen. At 300-350 I might have considered it

The connector is different on the monitor and also the graphic chip. It will require a different interface to interface the video to the screen. We are still working on the solution

Beat-Sonic is there a Bluetooth option or do I have to use the wire? And when you say I won’t be able to use them, do you mean they won’t work with car play, or they don’t have any functionality at all?
We only have the wired solution at the moment and Bluetooth will work for music but won’t work for turn by turn direction voice. Factory USB ports will work as usual for factory functions but won’t work for carplay/android auto.
