Thanks for showing how to put the panel back on. Other videos don't do that. You've got to remember that people who are not mechanically inclined are going to watch this video to see if they could remove a panel, do some repair, and put the panel back on. Those people, like myself, can get hung up on little details that you gloss over. For example, what tools do I need? You removed the small covers with a screwdriver. Great! Everybody has a few. But then you used a flat, plastic, wedge tool to pry off the panel. What was that? Where do I get it? How much does it cost? Can I use a screwdriver or paint scraper instead? Also, when you removed the panel, looks like one of the clips came off the panel and was stuck in the door. What do I do then? These are the kinds of things that discourage novices. I made a trip to a Mazda dealer today to get a quote on replacing the bank of window switches on the left front door. The part costs $135 (new) on Parts Geek. The quote I got from the Mazda dealer was $914. So that is why this novice might try to remove my door panel.
Thank you so much for showing how to put the door panel back on. I needed to remove mine to fix the speaker in the door and when it came time to put the door panel back on, I didn't know what to do with the weatherstripping at the top and none of the other videos showed it. I figured that it needed to go over the metal rim on the door, but I just couldn't get it to go there. Your showing to tip the panel was a huge help and I got the door back together! Thank you!
