This video shows everything but the inflation , you have to add some air to get the shape to it, then add more air before lowering to the ground, do not put tire on and lower it it’s gona pop out the crimp ring , I popped 4 bags till I learned the hard way 🎉😅
Same issue with my customer. He went through 3 bags and they all blew at the same crimp. He’s gonna let me do it this time and let the compressor fill up with my scan tool and then add the wheels and let it inflate
The Arnott Part #A-3233….you dont need to do any of that just clip it in on the top plug the air line in put the tires on and lower it down and start the car. Hope you didnt buy the Dorman 949-728 because thats the wrong bag.
Just a heads up DO NOT BUY A Dorman 949-728 as a replacement bag!!!! It is not the correct bag!!! I suggest going with a Arnott Part #A-3233. You dont have to worry about no special airing up sequence or manipulating the bag while its airing up or anything. Simply clip it into the top push the air line into the quick disconnect, put your tire back on and lower the car down and start it up and it will air up perfectly no popped ring nothing.
My 2013 XTS is riding very rough. Hoping replacing the air springs helps. The compressor failed a few years ago and was replaced. The car was very low to the ground when that happened. That is not the case this time.....it just does not absorb any small bump in the road at all. Does it sound like replacing these air bags would help or is there a deeper suspension issue to consider? Car has around 140k miles on it.
Check the airbags, if they have air pressure in them I would not think that's your problem. If they are flat you need to see if it's the compressor or if they have a hole in them
You recommend anything I just replaced the airbags and the compressor in the vehicle it does not wanna go up I hear the compressor kick in with no inflation

I have a question I woke up on Monday and my 2014 Cadillac XTS was on the floor so I decided to change the airbags they were bad I put some new ones then it didn’t do anything the following day it went up it was up for like two days and then it went down again two days later it went up again for like two days the same day it went down and it’s been down for two days what do you think my problem is do you think it’s a bad module
Interesting. I just went to work and when i got back to my car, it was sagging on both sides. Turning the car on inflated both of them to where they should be, so I drove it home, and went out and checked on it after an hour. Passanger side is sagging all the way down, but the driver side isnt. I assume they auto level to match the other, which is why they were both sagging all the way down equally after i got out of work. So, the question is, is it an airline leak at the passanger side, or the bag itself?
@@mt406mechanics So after ordering one part that didnt hold air (didnt even need to install it, the metal clamp on the rubber didnt have all the rubber tucked into it :D factory part as well) I got another and had the old one out and the new one in, in less than 10 minutes. Should I unplug the battery for a bit to fully let the leveling system reset since it kept compensating for a bad air spring, or will it just know what to do? Passenger side got replaced and seems slightly higher than the drivers side, which isnt leaking.
Same issue. My customer installed 3 himself, all OEM parts from Cadillac and they keep popping at the top crimps. It’s weird. He brought to me to try and do some recalibration thing but I know you don’t have to do that. He came to me with the Line off of the right rear. Plug the line it, inflated it with my scan tool and it popped on me and it wasn’t even anywhere near the normal ride height.

I finally figured out that Cadillac a couple weeks ago. The company I ordered them from sent me the wrong style the new bag once I installed it aired up perfectly I just followed the instructions I have not heard from that client since. And it was a very profitable installation
@@CristillaMarie have you tried messing with it yourself it is a very simple installation as long as you get it jacked up in the right place. If the people messed up the airbag inserts that's one reason it won't keep air also if they didn't put the lines back into the compressor correctly it won't stay aired up
Could this be my issue? When my car is off overnight I come outside and the driverside rear is sitting low. Just as yours was before you inflated the bag. Once I start the car the motor, like yours, kicks on and will inflate to normal height. I have 2015 XTS Platinum. I had the rear "shocks" replaced about a year ago at dealership, because it rode super "bumpy"/ stiff, costed around $2800 if i recall. Hopefully that's not my issue again 🤦♂️
I maybe a little late on this but I am currently changing my shocks right now. 1 down 1 to go. I got the pair for 190 on Amazon. Only 3 bolts. Took 20-30 minutes on 1 side. If you paid 2800 you got screwed. But I'm sure the OEM part was probably 500$ each.
I changed out the bags, shocks and height sensors on one but the pump wont fill the bags up enough to raise the back of the car to normal. Everything works and ive triple checked for leaks but cannot figure out why the car wont go up
@@yungmuney06 you have to calibrate the new ride height sensors at the cadillac dealership or a shop that has a high enough level scan tool to put it into the reset mode
