They can only use the towel every 6 points, so they touch the table to cool the hand. Note the spot near the net, which the ball is least likely to land. Playing table tennis results much sweating. "Cho" (actually "joong" or 中=zhong) is almost like "yeah" in English to motivate oneself after winning a point.

How about if they use the towel on the 10th ball? So they can use the towel another time on the 12th ball for the replacement before? Or is it counted into it, that's mean they need to wait until the 16th ball? And how do you know what "cho" means?

Alvin Fong Jian Shern The table tennis lawyers make the rule. Actually Ding Ning violated the towel rule during the Olympics final and got a penalty. For meaning of "cho", see my other explanation on "Ovtcharov Wins Bronze ". Why? Because I know the Chinese language.

Alvin Fong Jian Shern Every 6 points means the total points from both players add up to a multiple of 6. For example, 2-4 or 3-3 would be the first towel break; 5-7 or 3-9 would be the second towel break; so on and so forth. You can try to watch any full matches to observe this rule or just search for "table tennis towel rule" to see the explanations.

antony209494 This is the final match of Chinese National Games. To some players, this game is tougher than WTTC/WC/Olympics. For example, Olympics only allows two Chinese players, so the gold medalist only needs to defeat at most two Chinese players, where this game requires to beat all other Chinese players. Fan was only 16 years old (born 1997-01-22), and winning this game would be extremely important to his career. Cheering himself along the way is forgivable, IMHO.
