@@Mrwinecontreras it was supposed to debut the 2.0 Hurricane4 and the 9HP, which were way behind in development. The 2.0 Hurricane debut in the Giulia in 2015, and the 9HP in the related KL Cherokee in late 2013. Imagine if they refreshed it, and stuck the 2.0 Hurricane4 with the 9HP, it would’ve been a damn rocket.

I have one now. The only problem that I have is replacing parts. It is expensive. Other than that I love my 2013 Dodge Dart SXT.

It's been just over a year for me and 13,000 miles later, I couldn't be happier. Great car. Stop listening to the haters and give the car a chance. I used to own a 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser and there is no comparison to the Dart. That car held together but the build quality was awful. The Dart feels and looks much more expensive and it certainly drives like it too.

the pt cruiser was garbage. Never heard a single good thing about it from numerous mechanics.

Mine was alright, it never left me stranded or had to be towed. It had the famous cooling fan failure causing the car to run hotter than normal (mostly at idle) but it didn't overheat so I had to get that replaced. Other than that it was ok. The control arms and shocks and struts wore out a lot sooner than normal but the car was a rental car for the first few years of it's life before my grandmother owned it. I'm amazed it didn't have more problems than that since rentals are always beat on. It then sat for a while before it owned it.

Heyo! I don't know if this will mean anything to you since you commented this 7 years ago, but my 2014 model is still going strong 75k miles later! It's held up really well to my surprise because Chrysler isn't known for their quality control as of late...

@@fadedempirecarclub948, the Dodge Dart was a better engineered car with much more refinement than the Neon! I previously have owned 5 different Neons and I liked them all but I personally feel as though the Dodge Dart was a much better built compact than the Dodge Neon!

go see it in person. You will be able to tell in 5 seconds or less if you know anything about the car you are looking for. Sometimes a simple thing gives it away.

Also while it may not share the neons bulb like headlights this care does remind me a lot of the Neon. In al honesty the could have just called it that.

I agree neon's were/are crap and I wouldn't wasn't to be caught dead in one, The Dart on the other hand is truly a fun/comfortable car to drive although it's not very fast, It really shines around corners which is more fun than a straight line in my opinion. Pair it up with a good set of sticky tires and she will keep you smiling, Pickup is slow but when you want to have fun keep it in the powerband and you wont be disappointed. ABOUT THE CRUISE CONTROL---> You can easily buy the oem kit from allmoparparts.com that cost 60 bucks (OEM) its a plug and play Because there is a dumby module plugged in to where it should be under the bezel where cruise control should be, Dodge just wants you to pay more for other trim levels, I own a 2013 and am very happy with it.

Bryan Henry how does the Dart remind of the Neon? The Dart body and interior looks nothing like a Neon?

Motor City Man Mainly, looking at the side reminds me a bit of the of 2nd gen neon. Just how the front windshield sweeps into the roof and into the back. IDK, Hard to explain. But after having the first gen and my dad having hte second all these years. I might just be projecting. lol.

Michael Sotallaro​ if u want the Dart to feel fast get the 2.4 Tiger Shark 4 with the 6 speed manual.....even the 2.4 with the auto feels pretty peppy

I really don't understand why so many people hate on the Multiair Turbo. It's a great little engine, WORLDS better than anything most of the competition offers. It's got great low end torque and it really hauls for it's size and considering the fuel economy it gets. I have a well loaded Dart Rallye with that engine and the 6 speed manual and like with all 4 cylinders, it feels so much livelier with a manual. Now I'm a guy who loves big cars and V8's with power and such but I gotta say, I am very impressed with the Dart and I think it's a blast to drive for what it is. Handles great, endless options, love the styling and quality and that Turbo has the most sinister, pissed off exhaust sound I've ever heard out of a factory 4 cylinder. I haven't driven that engine with the Automatic but I have driven the other two engines with autos and it really does make the car feel slower and dumbs down the fun. I say go for the manual. I also own a 2013 Nissan 370Z and I don't dread getting back in the Dart after driving that, I still enjoy it. It's good in the snow so I need it for that, I'd never get the Z anywhere in snow. Plus it's an easier car to drive every day rather than the Z which feels a lot more like a racer as awesome as it is, and has a much stiffer clutch than the Dart.

it is probably faster than the 2.0L engine though. definitely more torque, especially at lower rpms i am telling this because i own a Fiat Bravo 1.4T here in europe with 150hp. it weighs 1400kgs and it pulls really great (0-60mph in about 8secs, not bad at all)
