I bought this exact model in Silver brand new back in 2013, I had to wait 6 weeks for delivery. $23,000 plus tax. I must say I luv the 1.6 turbo, the ride, the handling and the gas mileage. I drove it 110 miles just yest. with the AC on and averaged 35.3 mpg thru the twisty roads in the Ozarks. No regrets from day one on my purchase...........
I have one I paid 17.000 the water pump went the dealer is the only one who can fix this because it needs to be vaccume sealed and you need special lasers to align the timing and the tool for that is 400 if you can find it that cost $3,500 on top of the price I paid for the car now they're telling me I need a whole new motor on the top end where the problem was in the beginning sell this car ASAP before something goes wrong and it cost you more than the car is worth to fix it don't get me wrong it's a good car but the motor is too small for the size of the car and I don't beat on my vehicles there had been 11 recalls on this car most of them are for coolant problems and oil leak problems do some research on it and then send me back a message let me know what you found out I also have a garage Tasca Ford in Connecticut trying to charge me $165 an hour just to look at it $165 an hour to put it on a list and look at it if there's nothing wrong with that vehicle sell it and get out from underneath it now I'm a Ford person always has been and this is the worst vehicle ever ever heard them put out I was driving a 1961 air cooled Corvair wagon 500 series before there was even seatbelts and never had one issue with it tips on buying your next vehicle avoid as many electronics as you can they are nothing but extremely costly good luck let me know how you make out JERIMI WERNER AKA THE PAGE BURNNER Wjerimi@gmail.com
I literally just saw one of these on the road for the first time tonight driving back to Richmond from Portsmouth and I have to say its just stunning looking! Especially at night it just looked so sleek and high end!
Did you see our review on the 2012 Kia Sportage? We think the Escape simply blows it away. If you want leather/heated/power seats you need to go with the SEL, otherwise, you can get an SE pretty well equipped

At my last job in security the contract i worked had one of these as their patrol vehicle with the same engine. Thing was very gutless, not quick at all but fairly comfortable

Good God I hate when people who clearly know little of anything try to argue about something with their own "logic." You realize fire creates smoke right? The vehicles are equipped with sensors that go off when the heat under the hood becomes too high. This has been recorded in the incidents. There has been ZERO cases of these cars lighting on fire and blowing up 3 seconds later with the occupants inside. I hate saying this, but use some common sense here...
Is it a good option to buy a second-hand Escape SE EcoBoost nowadays as a first car? I am not sure if Ford Escape is a good one to drive after 10 yrs since we are in 2023. The car has only been driven for 90k km.
I wonder how well this engine will hold up. The EcoBoost engines have done a good job so far in the F150 but this tiny 1.6 producing that kind of HP seems like it will have to work hard. Love this new Escape though.
We have a 2012 CR-V that is flawless at close to 10,000 miles. We love it. Our 2011 Odyssey was taken into the shop Saturday but the stealer won't give it back or tell us what's wrong. They obviously screwed something up :(

I think it's a home run for Ford, although I'm not a fan of the taillights. But this is nice. May I suggest you include the sticker shot in your videos. I think many people may want to see that. Keep up the good work.

I really cant beleive Ford. They went from this kinda crappy brand for people that did care about cars (mid 90s- early 2000s) to making awesome cars for a modern and global market. they still have some work to do, but theyre getting better and really quickly too.

I found the SE seats to be uncomfortable especially where they hit the edge hit my legs. The leather seats in the SEL were better. Has anyone else noticed this on the SE?
Bought one but the 4wd model and there's 2 things that I don't like. The new power steering technology and well in my opinion the turbo isn't loud enough other than that it's pretty good. I find it drink more then my old escape v6 2008 but on paper it's different
im loving the new ford models' interiors, but i find it really annoying how the door panel materials dont follow through to the back... come on, ford! lmao
It's easy for you to view the original comment as sarcastic.....because you wrote it. You assume everyone else is in the same mindset as you. I guess when I think of someone telling me about a potential fire hazard where flammable liquids are involved, "blowing up" doesn't seem too far outside the realm of reality.
M18 MS Ur a troll. Got 70k mis trouble free on one. A few recalls but was 1st yr model and recalls are on all vehicles these days thanks to Toyota lying & being fined largest govt fine ever.
I have a 2013 that is rotting out like crazy from the cheap metal plastic cracking everywhere door latches replace twice you can't even work on the darn thing need to change a front turn signal bulb get ready to take the front wheel off inner fender off and about 50 screws absolutely ridiculous piece of junk $30,000 piece of junk do not ever buy one of these you will regret it!
