My favorite gen of F150. 2011 F1 XLT 5.0. 160 thousand and no problems. Love the interior, love the body lines, love the engine. I feel like at least in my opinion, Ford got it right with this gen truck
My dad had a 13 platinum, bought it brand new. 5.0 in Tuxedo Black. Loved that thing, gave it to his brother a while back, now has well over 200k on it
The Ford F-150 has maintained a certain continuity through its generations and model years. And that's why I bought my 2022 F-150 after trading in my 2016 F-150. You can count on these trucks maintaining their values and providing you with functionality and pleasure day in and day out.
@@matt815easy to say when you buy a utility vehicle that you never utilize for utility. Some old dude was cruising to and from the office in this truck. Not a jobsite like it was intended.
@@titebuttle2050I mean it is a platinum. No one driving a pickup for utility really needs more than an xlt. It’s a nice truck why woudl you want to destroy it. Buy a base model or something
Even by todays standards, i think these trucks look stunning. I have a 2013 lariat 5.0 in ruby red and its such an amazing truck. (that blinker sound though🥵🥵)
This is my truck! Love my big girl. Mine is all white with the brown leather. Ecoboost runs like a top. Got 228k on the dash with no signs of giving her up soon.
@@TheNotoriousJizzle for sure. I've already got tint and a level on the front. She sits real nice. I want to get some 33s next and probably refurbish or get some new stock rims next.
this...... for me the best gen of f150's, my favorite one, its just perfect....... the exterior, interior, the first f150' with a coyote engine, this is probably my dream pickup truck, with a 5.0 obviously .... i really really love this f150 gen :)
What's this? A nine year old first gen Ecoboost with over 130,000 miles on it that hasn't exploded due to poor reliability as the V8 lovers always predict?? (please note my sarcasm)
I love ecoboost engines but 1st gen was the problematic one because of the direct injection 2nd gen and up is where its at because of the added port injection.
It's reassuring to see an older generation F-150 that was actually taken care of instead of beat to s*** and hanging on by a thread like most older pickups. It must've been a one-owner that was obsessive and detailed it every week-two weeks like me. I even put towels on the front floor mats to preserve them that's how obsessed I am.
I'm actually a little jealous of this truck. I always assumed raptors like mine had all the features but turns out they don't. Raptors don't have heated rear seats, leather door panel arm rests, leather dash above gauges, leather console or a center armrest in the rear. Kinda weird decision by ford considering the raptor has a nicer interior in other ways
Amazing truck to have my dads is f-150 fx4 2013 and its nice and a good truck to have and it is very reliable as long as you replace oil and other maintnences on time
To be clear, this is not the 5.4. The 5.4 was last used in 2010. This engine is more than likely the 5.0 which is known for making all kinds of ticks when there is nothing wrong with it.
Bought a 2012 5.0 f150 for 20k with 130,000 miles. Good buy or not? My dad bought his 2002 f150 for 22k brand new back then. Crazy how bad the market has gotten
@Blank that’s not a bad deal at all! Mines only got the fx package but leather seats thats really all I wanted 😂 anything’s better then buying a brand new Ford raptor for 100k
@@boobacockaa interesting, I myself have 2 trucks and both covers close with it on. They wouldn't design a product with an issue like that. Maybe the cover got old and started to weigh into the tailgate space
@@koaladoeseverything I could see that. This one is possibly as old as the truck. The ones I was referring to though were new, from Ford, and were almost solid enough to stand on (I’m a bit heavy;) ). They must be lifted before the tailgate is closed. It is part of the design that creates a good seal.
Have a 2013 with twin turbos sometimes leaks coolant and now I have to replace a rear speed sensor because recall is only good for 150k anybody else have the same problems
I worry about those 3.5 turbos failing and the internal water pump design. Bad bad. Why i wont buy one. Its sad i wanted a Taurus SHO ecoboost but for that reason i just cant see myself getting one unless they changed a few things since? 🤔🤔
Nice car nice leather seats. That leather was pretty new I could hear his pants rubbing against it when he got out and when he turned the steering wheel.
Can You Test Drive A 2013 Ford F150 Lariat Ecoboost Crew Cab 4x4. I Was Born February 20th 2004. I Was Born 2/20/2004. Can You Test Drive 2004 Ford F150 Xlt Crew Cab 4x4. Can You Test Drive 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe LT Z71 4x4 and Test Drive 2004 Ford Ranger Xlt Regular Cab 4x4 Too.
There is no way that the eco boost still runs on this truck. From what I’ve heard, those engines are trash. Owners of F150s with eco boosts, please tell me, how reliable are those engines to you?
I've owned it since 2013, never had an issue. Runs pretty great. I think it’s somewhere near the 120k miles. But practically all I do it’s use the recommended products for the engine.
Ecoboost has better towing figures than the V8. Now how quickly you'll blow up the engine towing at those higher numbers, well....that's anybody's guess.@@frankyeetermann4718
