The car sits on the springs not the shocks. So you should adjust the springs for ride height, and adjust the shock height accordingly. To adjust the shock, adjust your springs to the ride height you want, jack the lower control arm all the way up until the springs are fully compressed, then adjust the shocks at that height. Watch BCracing for reference.
DO NOT allow your spring to sit free like that!!! Yes, it can fall out of the cup. You need to adjust your shock body so that you have preload on the spring. Leaving it the way this video shows it VERY DANGEROUS!!! If you hit a pothole that is deep enough to drop the rear wheel in it you can unseat the spring, or even lose it. That is not a situation you want to happen.
Quick question is there a way to get into that's opening to adjust the dampening on the rear coilover without removing the top mounts maybe trough the trunk somewhere or do I just have to go ahead and remove those top 2 bolts and pull the coilover out
Do you get pulled over for your tint being so dark. im thinking of doinf 35%F and 20%B which is illegal but not to dark but yours looks darker than that lol
i've been driving around at 15% all around for a year now. I've gotten pulled over for speeding and loud exhaust multiple times but there's never any mention of my tint. You'll be fine with 20%.
Torque wrench is for torquing bolt not removing , that's a great way of not having an accurate torque wrench to do a job that needs to be precise . That was painful to look at . Sorry
Another question to adjust the height do I just need to use the spanner wrench to move the locking nut turn the other nut. Or do I have to remove anything else such as camber bolts
Lol, using a torque wrench as a breaker bar. Nice!!! It wasn't very accurate to begin with though, it is the harbor freight p.o.s. Don't use torque wrenches as breaker bars.
