Eva's solo concepts on her alto are excellent, and I love her vocal phrasing. The whole band is cooking here! Tight and really swinging! And, of course, Scott Hamilton would sound great in front of any band, but this band is great. They are polished far beyond their years. Joan, I don't know how you do it, but these young people are so blessed to have you and the rest of us are blessed to hear your bands!

Bon, je vais vous dire le fond de ma pensée. Je suis attristé de constater comme les trames musicales de nos jours, passent en "saucisses". Notre style musical profond et européen a pour source le jazz américain. Oui ! Et nous sommes nombreux à le vénérer, car il est porteur de tous les rythmes et nostalgies qui savent toucher nos sensibilités. Joan Chamorro (je suis fan à distance) est un véritable précurseur de l'enseignement musical à Barcelonne et a le grand mérite d'avoir formé et permis à des jeunes de talent de devenir des grands du genre et c'est incroyable de les compter ! Y-a t'il en Espagne, un ministère de la Culture ? Si oui, qu'est-ce qu'on attend pour honorer cet homme ?

It seems all these kids are multi instrumentalists, plus some of them sing! I can’t get enough of this! Eva’s voice is fantastic!

The world needs more Eva Fernandez! Wow what a talent. Absolutely love that this band started in Spain which is where I studied Flamenco. Coming to Spain in the 90’s there were so many Flamenco guitarists wanting to learn jazz which we knew as Americans- it being part of our vocabulary, it is just great to see amazing jazz like this happening there. What a program guys just magnificent really!!!!!!!!!!🎼🔥❤️🙌🏼

Can’t say much I’ve listened to the Jazz guys most of life & have known a few of them personally, but I’ve have never seen a music director do what Joan has done with kids it’s amazing & they just coming at you year after year . For an example in the back that’s Alba Armengou playing trumpet she looks all of 12-14 now she is one of the featured singers & playing trumpet just like Andrea does 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Wow that's one of my favorite pieces from Ray Charles, and she sang amazing and played great. She has a gift!

That's the finest that I have heard Eva play and sing so far - WONDERFUL!!! This girl had got it! And I still can't figure out how Mr. Chamorro can get these young people to play so well! Then there's Scott Hamilton - always a thrill to here him play! [I REALLY want to play my trumpet with this band!]

Eva is perhaps the best voice that has come out of Sant Andreu, at least the most beautiful, in my opinion. Ideal for singing blues and soul. And "Georgia on my mind" is her fetish song, I already have four videos of her singing it, at different ages and she always does it wonderfully, with a fantastic style, taste and feeling. In this she was 19 years old and had an extraordinary, beautiful, mature, sensual voice, an almost perfect style and phrasing. Very well also his solo on sax. About the usual super in SAJB recordings, Scott Hamilton, little to say at this point, a great among the greats, masterful as always. And among the youth of the orchestra, all the great figures of that time (unrepeatable, I'm afraid): Andrea Motis, Alba Esteban, Joan Mar Sauqué, Joan Martí, Marçal Perramón, Carla Motis, Joan Codina, Marc Martín, Magalí Datzira , Alba Armengou ... Usually this song is done as a slow ballad; but this is really a refreshing version of this classic. Ray Charles I am sure would approve. Another job well done, Joan.

Eva was by far the best jazz singer out of the Chamorro stable. She had an incredible jazz voice (different from a jazzy singer) , a very good sound on her alto-sax, and the looks to match. A pity she is no longer with them. The band and repertory were also at their best at this time , and Of course there is one of the last giants : Scott Hamilton !
