My 2013 Sonata backup camera has gotten fuzzy. Cleaning the lens has not helped. I found a couple of helpful videos on the subject of replacing the camera, but they were lacking in what I really wished to know: The actual specifics of working through removing all the many pieces to gain access to the camera (or anything back there, for that matter). So I made a driveway guy video with more specific details about how to disassemble the trunk lid with the objective of replacing the backup camera. It is play-by-play. I hope you may find it helpful if you need to do maintenance on anything in the area of the trunk lid.
It just occurred to me as I'm posting this that I could have sprayed each of the green clips under the chrome strip as shown in the video with WD-40 or some similar spray lubricant which would definitely have aided in pulling that strip off. I'd recommend that. Taking the 4 Phillips screws out of the license plate lights & pulling them out of the way facilitates doing this to some of those middle clips that are well hidden.
The ultimate irony: Nothing I did cleared up the camera picture, so I just reinstalled it ("steps are reverse of disassembly") & will live with it for now since I have more important things to attend to at this time and I now know how to disassemble it. I did look on Ebay & found some replacements going for around $50 that I will keep in mind.
