+Eric Moore have you seen any auburn football game's in 2016 maybe you guys should check it out . and I know that Alabama has gone undefeated there a great team I'll admit that and Nick Sabon is a great coach bit so is gus mozone but we are not a sucking team we might not be the best but we are good......
It always gets lost in the crazy finish but Auburn's two-minute offense to get the tying touchdown was one of the best-executed drives I have ever seen in that situation.
Seth Carter I kinda thought the 2014 iron bowl was a better overall game, for me anyway. and I'm an Auburn fan. wish we'd have won, of course, but as for pure excitement I thought t ure shootout in Tuscaloosa was a better game
Seth Carter that and the 2014 game which was the highest scoring in series history. I hope Auburn wins the rest of the games until Iron Bowl and Alabama win making Alabama hopefully 12-0 and Auburn 10-2 I wish Auburn would have beaten Florida hate them.
I am a fan of neither team, I'm a Miami fan....I cried real tears in 88' after losing to Notre Dame...I couldnt imagine losing a game like this.....I could not imagine it. this is easily the greatest individual college football game of all time...
As a Bama fan, I wish I couldn't imagine it. Whenever I see a replay of it anywhere, I refuse to watch it because it still annoys the hell out of me haha. To be fair, I can't complain because of what Bama has done since then and in general since Saban showed up. As much as I HATE the result of this game, I would agree it's one of, if not the best game of all time.
I'm a Calgary Stampeders fan and I was on the sidelines at MacMahon stadium when the Stamps beat the Riders this season. I called out to Nick and Ricardo near the end of the game with a cry of "War Eagle!" and told them the score in the Auburn/LSU game. They clapped and waved to me, despite the score in the game at the time. I almost fainted =)
You could argue that this is not just one of the greatest finishes of all time, but one of the greatest games too! It had everything from the blocked field goal, to the flip from marshall with a minute left, to the freaking 99 yard touchdown from Mccarron to Amari Cooper, to all of the 4th down tries, to the Kick Six. It was incredible to watch!
As an Auburn fan i can confidently speak for both fanbases and say this is the GREATEST College Football game of all time. The back and forth, the swing of emotions, and the ending. This game is easily the most iconic game in all of sports.
I'm an Auburn fan for life, and I am so incredibly thankful to you posting this. Everyone jokes that we're "hanging on to this one," but dear Lord, wouldn't anyone? Even if we never won another game, this is legendary, historic, and miraculous. War Eagle!!!
This game doesn’t bother me. The kick six overshadows what a great football game this was. I have a ton of respect for that 2013 Auburn team. From worst to first and they played some tough games that year. BAMA had a few chances to close the game out, just couldn’t do it.
Born, Raised, Still live in Northern Alabama. I was 32 years and 5 months when this game was played. I was never the same after the KICK SIX. It changed how I thought, how I feel, and how I processed events in life. Roll Tide till I die but I must confess I watch this play at least 5 times (if not more) a year. Bama was so close to being an unmatched dynasty but it was NOT TO BE. I remember laying down in the driveway of my friends moms house for 20-25 minutes after the game contemplating if it was worth it to let a game make me feel the way I felt. I decided that IT WAS NOT worth it. #lifechangingmoment.
I'll quote something out of my homecountry soccer culture, it counts for football in Alabama too. Football is the most important thing among the least important ones. That's why you had this moment I think. Also, there is a movie line that might help explain things for you, how you felt. From a movie called The Secret in Your Eyes, an argentinean production. "A man can change his house, his face, his girlfriend, his family, his religion, even his God. But there is one thing a man never changes: his passion (for football here)".
Ohio State fan, here. This is probably my favorite regular season game out of the SEC in the last 20 years. You can’t write finishes like this, poor ‘Bama got robbed blind! Chris Davis JR with the miracle finish
+ROLL TIDE Graham An absolute incredible finish is meaningless, with a spot in the SEC championship game on the line, and thus a national championship bid because the losing team went on in years following to win? This was a huge game against bitter rivals with everything on the line with an incredible finish to boot. This was the highest TV rated college football game of all time until the 2015 national championship game. This game was certainly not meaningless to the players on that field. To the fans in the stands going nuts. To the heartbreak of the Alabama fans, players, coaching seeking an incredible 3 straight titles in this day an age. Don't discredit something because the team you were rooting for lost. This is an incredible rivalry, and on this day the underdog won in amazing fashion. As a college football fan appreciated for what it is instead of responding to a troll and making yourself look like a buffoon.
I will agree with you, but raise you the helmet catch in the Super Bowl that made the Pats go 18-1. Sorry, I see you are a Pats fan but that to me stands out as another one of the best.
I remember watching the final moment on Sportscenter the next day. I remember my stepfather being amazed by it! He almost had a position on ESPN once. He knew EVERYTHING about the sport, all the teams, individual players, etc.
I'm an auburn fan and I just read all of the comments and I never realized how disrespectful all of the Alabama fans are. There are a couple who are normal and polite but most of these guys take the game way too serious
@@lancebearden8782 i root for a conference the sad part is I live in California which SHOULD mean I root for the pac12 but I don’t bcoz I have too many family members who went to schools down here so I root for the SEC bcoz i do have family down there but their distant ( cousins on my parents side )
Just had the pleasure of re-watching this entire game for the first time since I saw it live. First off, best college football game I've ever witnessed. This was Auburns miracle season, Still shocked they blew the National Title game because they were whooping ass first half of that. Special teams was the obvious X-factor in this bad boy, I can't believe all the chances Bama had to win this game and they blew it. Best fucking game of all time!!!!!
I’m a Georgia fan so I’m not crazy about either team but watching these two playing each other is one of my favorite match ups in football. Year in and year out especially in Jordan Hare you see hard nose football. I love it!
I never noticed that 79 on Alabama during the kick return at the end maliciously goes after number 98 on Auburn and blindsides him when Davis is already in the end zone.
Good sweet redemption was had this weekend Nov 25th 2023! ROLL TIDE. Now this kick six is buried fully. 7-3 since the kick six, and the 4OT heartbreaker. I am very satisfied now.
This is the kind of comment that baffles me. The 2023 Iron Bowl ending was more similar to the Prayer at Jordan-Hare than the Kick Six. Georgia had nothing to gain with 4 losses already, just as Auburn with 5 losses had no stakes in the 2023 game. The Kick Six on the other hand was high stakes for both teams. Winner goes to the SEC and potentially BCS championship games. Whoever lost would effectively have their season finished, all chance at a championship lost in that moment. When only one side has stakes, it really doesn't equate to a time when everything is on the line for both sides. Just my view on it though. Still come back and watch this game because from start to finish, it was a back and forth drama rarely seen in sports. An amazing performance from 2 supremely talented teams who gave everything they had and created a timeless classic.
Best game ever. After 3 years I still never get tired of watching it.WAR EAGLE TO ALL THE AUBURN FANS OUT THEIR.Here is to a GREAT 2016 SEASON.WAR EAGLE BABY!!🙌🍺🍷🏉
Jeff Brasher .......lol I'm thinking our tigers may have set some kind of ncaa record for qb substitutions in any 5 minute span. lol.....good thing we're getting this thing turned around. war eagle
This is hands down undoubtedly in the top two of greatest football games of all time along with the 2007 Fiesta Bowl, it's really a coin flip between the two for the top spot. 2006 Rose Bowl comes in at a close third followed closely behind by a coin flip between the 2007 Appalachian State vs Michigan game and the 2018 Texas A&M vs LSU game for fourth and fifth best. No disrespect to the 2017, 2018 and 2019 CF National Champship games because all three of those are deserving of a mention as well. And I guess since we're talking greatest football games of all time I should probably mention a couple others from that other league, Superbowl XLIX (49) and Superbowl LI (51) deserve a mention
Watch 2:37:30. Not surprised Verne and Gary didn't acknowledge Kouandijio getting put on his back. You know they saw it but they didn't want to embarrass the tide.
Nick Saban is one of the most brilliant coaching minds in any sport, but nobody's perfect. His playcalling in the 4th quarter still baffles me to this day. He opted to not let his regular kicker try a 31-yarder with 5:42 left to make it a two--score game, but he brought on a redshirt freshman to try a 56-yarder at the literal last second?
It's a tradition to storm the field after a win. Don't know if you know this, but there's not much else going for Clemson regarding the surrounding area outside of some rundown barns and boiled-peanuts stands.
The kick six forever changed college football. That, the Vince Young td run, and the Tua to Devonta Smith easily the top 3 most iconic plays in the sports history. Unreal
You have to give Auburn credit for this one. Alabama had several opportunities to put this one away and Auburn held each time and gave themselves a chance to tie it up, and then win it on the Kick 6. Alabama has won 4 National Championships in the past 8 years (the run beginning in 2008). However, it is remarkable to think just how close all 8 of these teams were from playing for the National Championship. 2014 - a loss to OSU by a touchdown. 2013 - the Kick 6. 2010 - a 3 pt loss at LSU and a Camback and 2008 - The narrow loss to FL in the SEC Championship game. They have been ranked #1 at some point in each of the last 8 seasons! Congrats to Auburn for this one, but the last 8 years have been remarkable for Alabama.
I’m a Georgia fan around this time I was a sophomore in high school I was so happy that auburn beat bama I almost became an Auburn fan. Looking back on it now I’m so glad I didn’t lol what an amazing game this was.
Kudos to Auburn for pulling this out, but if you’re being honest, they needed nearly every break to go their way to win this game, so many easily make able FG attempts missed by Alabama. Alabama had so many chances to put this away and let Auburn hang around, so Auburn eventually made them pay?
I love Auburns drive with around 4 minutes to go in the second quarter. The hurry up offense and a touchdown. Just seeing the picture in picture of the two coaches in a chess match trying to change the plays as they hurry up. Textbook by Auburn. That’s what football is all about.
I'm from MN lived almost my whole life here. So not much to celebrate for football, minus UM's 2019 season. I watch this game a few times a year because if I could go back in time I'd be a Auburn fan on this night! What a high! The last 2 games in Auburn were amazing in 2013. I love how the announcers say like 3 times "obviously" they will be going for a hill mary. Obviously :)
This is the game that made me start watching CFB after 23 seasons of NFL only. You cannot understand football's future without understanding College past and present. This game is a contrast of Iformation's past and Spread to Run option, which wasn't new & revolutionary; as Vince Young's Texas used in 2006 to topple a Pro Style USC. Ironically CFB is moving away from the QB Option Run; when the NFL Ravens embraced it 2019-2022 (!?!) NFL only Fans are so far behind the curve; In 2013 a Spread option with Nick Marshall nowhere near as talented as Lamar Jackson toppled an NFL caliber Defense. In 2014 Ohio State did likewise. Then Deshaun Watson did it. See a trend? Alabama D ate Pro Style offenses for breakfast. The QB Options off Dlinemen or LBs and makes running possible on even great D fronts... where a statue QB handing off to RB just makes the math favor the Defense every time. 1 ball carrier, 1 QB, 9 Blockers, vs 11 Defenders. 2 Defenders will never get blocked.
Proud grad of Auburn, This feels so good... I was There for the last three years of our winning streak, and my Senior year was heartbreaking... Then in 2010 we won again and I felt better. Nothing like a win over Alabama!
Nick Marshall is a sad story man they should’ve taken care of him in the NFL today he could be a starter he was making pat mahomes type throws but was just faster on his feet like tua sad case man😞
You are right. And it took so much else to set up this fairy tale ending. Especially all the lost field goals that probably would have sealed the deal for Alabama.
Just gonna say for all those who talk bad about cade foster and the bama kickers in this game. I dont think people who havent been to Jordan-Hare understand how loud it can be especially in THIS game, biggest game of your life and you can’t hear yourself think, don’t think many people in college were gonna nail those kicks. War Eagle
Alabama blew so many opportunities to put the game away. If they make just one of the three missed field goals they win but it just wasn't meant to be.
Blue MM oh he was on the chargers and nick Marshall and Corey grant were on the jags but idk anymore and I think you would know that mason was on the rams
if that final kick happens 10 times the defense would make at least an 80 yard return 2 out of 10 times. the defense scores 8 out of 10 times, given the lack of athletes on the field for the kicking team........bowling green would have probably taken that one back against alabama. most of the guys on the field for the kick team are a cupcake shy of 300 lbs
