People will have their opinions am I'm not trying to change them in any ways. However, being the owner of a 2013 Kia forte koup sx and having driven the scion tc and civic coup along with several other cars including the Subaru brz I can say wholeheartedly that te Kia forte koup is by far the most fun car to drive and the most practical. Bottom line is the Kia forte koup is a brilliant car.
I have the 2013 forte sx sedan and the handling is sharper than the 2019 mazda 3! Ride quality is about the same! Was surprised after test driven the 3. Sure it's quiter, has nicer quality interior and has more tech inside but it's also RM 130K pricier than my forte (here in Malaysia)! In terms of raw acceleration and handling it loses out to my FORTE wow I love my car more now!
I didn't even know this car existed until today when I saw a black one in front of my neighbor's house. It looked really sharp, so I came in and U-tubed it:) I think it LOOKS better than the Honda. $24,000, I think you can get a base modle FR-S starting at about $25,000 sooo I don't know. If it were $19,000 loaded it'd be a lock for me. I'm impressed with it though.
I have a 2011 SX sedan and have no complaints at all besides the sporty suspension can be a little too harsh, as isn't a track car by any means. It has decent power, good gas mileage, looks great, and have had no issues at all (23k miles so far). Looking back I wish I purchased the wrx as it would be a more enjoyable car to drive but I really wasn't making enough money at the time to justify it. Id recommend this car to anyone looking at this, the focus, civic, corolla (POS), mazda, etc.
I experienced the same thing when I had my Optima. Everyone ragged on me for buying a Kia, but I really liked it. Once they got to drive it or at least ride in it, they were impressed. Not the sheetbox they expected. I'd much rather own a newer Kia over an old MB. Been there, done that. I'm not trying to impress anyone expect myself. I'm the one that has to drive it everyday and maintain it. So I really don't give a rat's butt what others think. I probably don't like what they drive anyway.
After all, they don't know what they're missing. The haters could keep hating but I ended up buying a 2012 Forte sedan when I originally wanted a Civic or a Corolla. They're nice dependable cars but they didn't catch my heart like the Forte has, which gives me more power, room, and value for the money too. I'm glad your Optima's a good car.
I am more excited to see what the 2014 Koup will bring to the table with the new turbo engine that they are giving it and the performance. Hope it does well whenever someone decides to review one. I liked it when they first came out with the vehicle but something else caught my eye instead so I am happy with the decision I made. So good luck KIA and lets get the 2014 Koup reviewed.
a base forte sx costs $18,800 with a manual transmission. when it is fully loaded with an automatic, it gets to $24,700. so when you compare this car to other cars, remember what your comparing, base to base, this is over $7,000 less than a frs/brz.
Honestly you can't beat the features of the Kia's as of recently. Factoring in just price , on paper the Kia wins in every category. But there's more to a car than how much it costs and although the Koup is appealing I don't know if it's right for me.
Yeah, why not! Considering that the Civic Si and VW GT (though they're nice cars) have more horsepower and both cost $3,000 to $4,000 more than that Kia coupe.
That's just it. The people who hate the most are the most inexperienced and clueless in regard to the cars they hate on. I like Kia! They're stylish, relatively inexpensive, come with a stellar warranty. With that being said, I drive a Nissan, lol.
USD22,800 means almost MYR90,000 (W/A) I wish that me live and work at America or Uk than more cheaper to buy an a car... If MYR90,000 change to £90,000 or US$90,000 what car i can get?
There aren't too many TC in my part of town, But for the price of the TC there are other vehicle that is much better. The 2 door civic ex manual is a better choice, the mazda 3 the Corolla type S look really good. The Tc now cost like 20k
$22,900-31,000. Really? My head has this pegged at $15,900-23,000, while choosing the Camry of small coupes. But now my attitude has changed when I see a brand new one. Girls, hope you're enjoying those seat heaters, because there were so many better choices out there for those bucks. Keep your meaty Goodyears aired properly to make the most of that steering.
One titbit that many don't know about Scion car until it's too late, typically the insurance rate on Scion esp the TC is 50%-100% higher than other comparable car. After 4 years of ownership you would pay 5k+ more eating up any "deal/saving" on the car.
i have a 2012 KIA forte 4 door with a manual shifting option but its no paddle its stick i want to use it but don't know how some one pleas help i have searched Google all over for how to.
Im waiting for the 2014 kia forte hatch turbo looks way better than the SI and even the Golf. I wanna get rid of y 2004 Acura TL cant stand it any more i much rather buy a kia or even Hyundai than a Honda or Toyota.
Not every one can afford a c350 I work part time and go to school Kias and Hyundais or perfect for us middle class people. when i graduate ill be lucky to even start by making 60k a year u cant buy much with that, I rather buy a kia pay it off and bein 25 have cheap car Insurance than pay 600 a month for a 3 year old Benz.
Just thought you might like to know, your "German" car actually could have been built in 1 of over 20 different countries. Finding a true German, Korean, Japanese, American, etc... made car is like asking to live without breathing air. I understand if you don't like Japanese or Korean cars but you shouldn't simply bunch them all under such a derogatory term. That sir, is called ignorance.
Well that's subjective, all things considered. I personally disagree. But obviously, numbers back up the Si over the Koup. Even though looks aren't everything, take a look at that front and you'll see a resemblance to the 8th gen Civic and Civic Si. Coincidence? Who knows
maximus9401 Insurance on a Civic Coup will usually be far more than on a Forte Koup. Also due to the target market for both these cars, the drivers will tend not to have optimal ratings with their insurance companies
uh,,, no for this kind of money koup wins, why? because civic SI require premium gas, koup is regular, and the insurance will rape you for having an SI, sorry, SI is an awesome car but i honestly feel bad for the owners paying for a great car and getting raped for insurance, you could got a WRX and end up paying about the same after 4-5 years in the end, do your research bro
I currently drive the 4-door variant of the SX (2012) and the build quality is terrible, as are the factory tires this reviewer keeps gushing-on about. I realistically only average about 21-22mpg typically, and the 2.4L engine destroyed itself at less than 22k miles.
man I look at the TC today it was a big disappointment, the freaking dasboard is made out of hard plastic, it goes clunkclunk, the TC is new but I predict year from now, TC driver will go insane from the rattle
That is what the true definition of a poser is. I love (hate) how fake ballers buy entry level 'luxury' cars and think they're driving Bentleys. I rather drive something econobox with good value and best bang for the buck.
Umm... don't listen to that guy lol. His entry level overrated German junk is still a middle class car. I think 90% of the people out there make this one huge mistake -- to think that somehow a mercedes or a bmw is for the upper class. LOL. Your Kia and his Mercedes belong to the same middle class level. Only difference is, he pays a few hundred more per month than you. Big f-ing deal lol. A few hundred lol. P.S. don't let a car define who/what you are.
