Awesome! I didn't know it was that easy. I was getting ready to take the whole inside door panel off. Not anymore. Thanks for saving me some time and money.
Man that is awesome! I literally just broke mine tonight and yanked the handle right out and my wife about come unglued on me! ha ha!!! Now that I know it is really this simple I feel much better. The big orange Zone parts store wants $80 for the whole assembly! OUCH!
Thank you for this video. I didn't realize it was so easy to do and was about to take the door panel off to do so. Thank you for saving me so much time and showing how easy it is to fix!!
I had the exact thing happened to my wife's 2013 Kia Sorento. Ordered parts from Walmart so I will see how easy it is to replace the handle. Thanks for the helpful video.
worked on my 2011 too but the bolt/screw had also broken that you tightened so I bought a 1 inch flange bolt (kinda has the washer 'built in') M6 metric thread at true value and got it secured that way (used a tab of gorilla tape on the flange so it would NOT fall off my socket and into the door panel!!)
That's crazy how easy that was Kia is going to charge me or was going to charge me over $300 just to fix it definitely doing it myself for less than 20 Thanks for this video
Thanks for this video! How did you know which part was broken? I can't tell if I need the whole handle replacement or just the piece that you've ordered.
MrWuf111 no problem! Thanks for the view. Like and subscribe if you have a chance. I plan to do more videos like this in the future. Glad I could help.
a 10 mm socket with extension may be better than a Phillips screwdriver. I could not break the screw loose with the screwdriver. Very easy with the 10 mm socket, though.
Hi, is it possible to redo the video? It seems helpful but the way video was taken wasn't steady enough and it hard to see what you did in details. Thank you much!
Thank you for the useful video.. But my car door is locked with child safety lock so it is really hard to open it.. I have the new handle but I couldn't replace it.. Any ideas to help me open the door...?
This should work with most sorentos from 2007 to 2013 assuming it has the same plastic handles, just be sure you can access the Phillips screw from inside the door
Does anyone know where to buy the black piece? Kia is claiming they don’t have it and want to charge $300 when this is the second door handle that’s did this.
Why didn't you start the video where you were doing it in the right order? I didn't need to step by step repeat your mistake lol. Thanks for the video though!
