I love the Interstate. The rake up front, quazi chopper look, just enough..the teardrop tank, fuel injection, shaft drive , liquid cooled, bags , definitely the coolest looking , best sounding , long wheel base.. badass bike. Looks like a custom one off . Also, the heel to toe shifter, and floor boards. I want one!!! It's the sexiest looking ..( girlfriend opinion) lol

I own the 2013 B.O.S.S. actually 2 Wife and I purchased. Just took a 4 day 300 mile trip ended up in Ocean Shores, WA for the Motorcycle sand and surf run out of the thousands of bikes in town as far aswe know we were the only B.O.S.S. owners in town We were asked about these bikes everywhere we stopped, and by all different bike owners. They all really liked the "Black out " look. The Lg size of our luggage bags. This bike is truly so comfortable to ride. It really is such a great ride.

The Cross Roads is not a light heavyweight, it's an 800 pound super-heavy right up there with the Road King, V2K and M109RT. The Freedom V-Twin in a Victory is 106ci. The bikes in this review had 80ci and 90ci engines, which is a significant difference. Not to mention, at $18k, the Victory is in a completely different price class.

The Yamaha Deluxe has it all over the other cruisers, and I'm a huge fan of all Japanese cruisers. I think Yamaha screwed it up by ditching their Stratoliner Deluxe (1900 engine with batwing and all amenities). Now we have those super-tech monster tourers from Yamaha, but the Stratoliner with a Batwing was almost perfect (air cooling is my only complaint).

When I was looking to get rid of my 2011 Victory Crosscountry ( nothing but problems with it ) I rode all three bikes. I'm 6.0 ft and 190 lbs, so the Honda felt too small, the VStar delux had a clunky trany and hardly any power. The suzuki BOSS had the best trany and great gearing. At 130 kph you can comfortably be in 4th gear. I rarely ever go in 5th. It is also has great ergonomics for a tall rider. So I bought it and love it. All it neeeds is a bit more of a rumble out of the pipes so I'll be changing them out this month.

No problem Marjan. From the day I got it there was a shimmy in the front end, especially noticeable when turning left. At first the dealership told me that the tire must be underinflated. It wasn't. It had stock Dunlop Elite 3 tires. After 3500km the front tire was toast. It had severe cupping and had worn in a v shape with more wear on the left fide of the tire. I took it to the dealership, had the tire replaced. They agreed that the wear looked all wrong and sent a claim into Dunlop ( Dunlop gave me a credit for the tire ). Put another Dunlop Elite 3 on and had the same shimmy in the front end. After about 3000km I finally convinced the dealership to inspect the front end. They say they test drove it and indeed found it to shimmy and severly pull to the left when making a left turn. However upon inspection they said everything was within specs, so please enjoy your Victory. At this point i contacted riders on the VOG ( victory owners group ) and I found that in the USA there was a class action lawsuit against Polaris for just this problem. In my opinion the bike was unsafe to ride, still has full factory warranty. I wasn't going to sell it privately cause I didn't want someone else to kill themselves. So I traded it in on my Suzuki. I told the dealership of all the problems and because it had full warranty they were fine with it as they thought Polaris would fix it for them. I will never buy another Victory or Polaris product as I don't think they care about product quality. If I were you I would look at the Kawasaki Nomad 1700 or the Suzuki C90T for much less money then the Victory or hell if money is no object even a Harley. I hope this helps you. Happy riding.

Darryl Lem I really appreciate your fast response. Also, I would like to thank you for all problems explained in detail. All of my life I am riding supersports so I was looking into Victory bikes just to give a shot for cruisers, but after what you told me, I am looking back to sport again. '14 Mv Agusta F4 or '14 S1000RR. I'll ride anything as long it's not Harley (even Vespa lol!) Everybody like Harleys where I live and I hate to be like 99,9% people here. There is no rush, I'll think about it ... Again, thanks for input dude !

And yet the bike your heart is aching for does exist based upon exactly the same 1700 Cc V-twin: The Yamaha MT-01, you know, the bike you Americans could not have since Yamaha USA decided not to import this bike for you guys... So the MT-01; what kind of bike is that, well At Yamaha in Japan they stripped a 2005 Yamaha R1: all fairings came off and they took out the 4 cylinder R1 engine and they placed a Road Warrior 1700 Cc engine into the R1 Frame....made it all fit very well and so The Yamaha Frankenstein MT-01 was born. Since the bike is based up on a Yamaha R1 Frame with the Yamaha R1 front fork/brakes and the Yamaha R1 rear fork/brakes, this bike rides like a dream, also when the corners are hit, after all this is a Yamaha 1700 Cc V-tiwn R1. So basically the MT-01 (Master of Torque number 1) is no, I repeat, no cruiser, but a naked bike based up on a Naked Yamaha R1 frame/ undercarriage. Go see de video named: This Bike Was NEVER RELEASED In The US | Yamaha MT01 Review

Having rode all 3 of them within the last couple weeks, I do prefer the VStar 1300, and that is what I am picking up later this week. I really wanted to like the Honda, but it just didn't impress me. My current 900 had more punch in the throttle. The Suzuki was nice, but it was just to far away and there was nothing that it had that the vstar didn't have.

the one thing you all did not cover is gas mileage and how much gas each motorcycle holds and how long it can go before it runs out that is one key factor that people need to know about touring bikes but you seem not to be covering that because you're probably getting kickbacks make your determination or you're just very bad at reviews

How does the Bat-wing fairing stack up against a standard lexan windshield aside from cosmetics? My VT1100C Honda, bought used, came equipped with a 19" Memphis Slim windshield . I installed the quick removal brackets because the old brackets were bent. I am considering the Memphis Bat-wing using the same brackets.

You never mention how it is to actually own one. How is it to service them etc? I think cruiser people want to do pretty much everything them selves(at least the cruiser owners I know) so no "service cost only 2 grand at dealership". I know it would mean a lot of extra work for you but its really important for us cruiser owners. Also pleace bring in someone with a little height. I cant really compare to you midgets ;) and have had my share of back ake from to small bikes.

I care about two things one ground clearance other comfort first. After ask your self air cooled or not, it may depend where you live and ride .. Sit on a Triumph Speedmaster after siting on the others very nice more leg room than a Star Bolt or a sportster. Where they went CTX700N would be perfect Honda at 6999 only.

Let's see.. the best thing you could say about the Interstate is that it would "look cool" if you pulled off the windshield? Not one word about how well this bike tracked in turns despite the significantly different rake orhat the Interstate is first and foremost a cruiser with touring capabilities. Let me guess...unless it is the undisputed champ of touring (Honda GW), Honda simply hasn't made a thing designed to run off the dirt track worthy of mention, am I right, lappers? These guys just lost all cred with me.
