The engine is a 5.5 liter V-8 that produces 388 horsepower and 391 lb-ft. of torque. The transmission is a 7-speed automatic. And if you have the cash you can get the AMG model which costs $30k more but gives you a twin turbocharged version of this engine boosting power to 544 HP and 560 TQ. The G550 is a solid car packed with all the bells and whistles one could want; the result is a 5578 lb. curb weight. So unfortunately due to the heavy weight and powerful engine, fuel economy ratings suffer netting 12 MPG in the city and 15 MPG on the highway.
The interior of this 2013 Mercedes-Benz G550 has the Designo kit meaning it has the upper echelon of nice refined leather. The rest of the interior has been remodeled. The seats have a number of controls to adjust to your liking.
