This is maybe the most beautiful, and finest, air cooled V-Twin ever produced. As to power, stock I believe about 85 HP at RW and 110 Torque at RW. It is not the power of a VMAX, but then again that is not the class it is in.

Imagine if they brought the raider back out for 2025. Instead of that flared rear fender, more of a customized round it off one with a light on the end, small duel pipes instead of those big ugly things. And instead of the trim/chrome that goes around the side of the tank and on top of it, something simpler to make it easily custom painted. This was a popular bike and it’s hard to find a good one available. Imagine if they made a new.

serious performance oriented motorcycle.... yet does not mention any performance figure like horsepower, torque, 0 to 60, 1/4 mile time

The rear suspension is trash, it handles like a sack of coal, the gas tank is too small. Guess the one you drove is much different than mine.

This is a great looking bike. Top quality and good performance. But it's not great and not worth the money. Yamaha needs to drop their prices by thousands. Year after year the bikes are the same thing but with higher prices. They inflate the prices to make it seem like its a more prestigious product. And high prices equal less sales. My local dealer still has brand new 2010 models that never sold. Instead of lowering prices it collects dust. Build a quality product w a low price & it will sell
