When Andrea sing this, it should be re-titled .. "The Girl from Barcelona!" One of my favorite Jobim tunes sung by one of my favorite jazz performers! Beautiful rendition!!!

I graduated from Oakdale HS in 1967 (Oakdale, California). Our Algebra teacher, Mr. Chrisman, played an LP with this song just before we went on Christmas break. I love it.

Ahhhh ..... Joan I love you man! ... I fell in love with this song at the age of 10 years old, when I first heard it played by Antonio Carlos Jobim on the radio back in 1964. Excellent interpretation my friend.

Love to hear Andrea's "young" voice - and to compare the classic instrument sections to the big band sections - e.g. strings to saxes, and french horns + bassoons to trombones... Also, good to hear Andrea + company perform this classic bossa nova song!

A Beautiful Orchestral arrangement and a great conducter. Andrea is miked just right; a voice she has as close to perfection as can be gotten. Also, Play that Trumpet Andrea; your playing wows and charms me; coming from a trombone player that wished he'd been a trumperter. Always the best to you Joan.
