Thanks alot this really gave me the perspective of driving a Astra that I've been looking for, the interior didn't look so great in the pictures I've seen online but the red began to grow on me ngl
I have just traded in my 2008 vw polo 1.4 TDI which had 100.4000 on the clock for a 2015 Astra 1.6 diesel with 40.000 miles the different is amazing it a lot smoother drive I have to remember to put it in sixth gear on the motor way
@@danh2310 my brother in law trade in his 330d touring for a new 320d x last year being a hybrid it delivers it power differential and also gets more mpg plus a more comfortable car to ride in but the road tax of £500 a year is not for my I like paying 0 with my astra
Nice review man. I’m thinking between the Vauxhall Astra 2012 or the Seat Ibiza 2011 for a first car. Which one would recommend me taking care taking care durability and reliability?
@@michelangekjustin9877 it depends, 1.4 petrol is pretty slow and you notice it uphill especially, but 1.4 Turbo petrol can really fly on straights especially if you take it to 6500 revs, the 1.6turbo petrol is 180bhp and it really is nippy. but if yoh want something with more instant punch then get a diesel, 1.7cdti would be good but if you can afford it go for a 2.0cdti its perfect. Personally id go for 1.6 turbo petrol as i like to redline lol but diesels have more benefits such as more torque and not having to downshift when going from 40 to 70
Hi mate I have a 2010 (facelift) asta 1.6, on ur video u have the speed showing digitally I was wondering how to do this? as mine shows it with the needle but I have a central display between the speedo and rev like you
Sorry, actually I tried and on the indicator stick, the button can be used to reset things and there is a thing on that stick that you can turn up and down, try that (I'm terrible at explaining that ahaha)
I'm changing from my Ford focus facelift 1.8 petrol to a 2011 1.4 petrol Astra. I'm hoping I haven't made a mistake lol I just hate spending out so much on insurance each month. I needed a smaller engine.
Hope you enjoy the new car, it's def gonna feel a bit slow (especially going up the hill) after a 1.8 but you'll get used to it and it is a good solid car :)
@@vladcars7328 in all fairness to it, its got a better clutch than my old car did this one pushes uphill itself lol so impressed lol all my mates who drove my old car said they don't know how I drove it lol 😆 it's so easy and fun to drive im loving it atm x
Hello mate i was thinking of getting the 1.6 petrol, what mileage should i get on this car ? Looking to spend about 4.5k, if i get one with 60k miles how long would you say the car will last ik it depends on how its kept but roughly how much can i get out of it
Hi mate, good idea, 1.6 will use a bit more fuel but might be a bit better to drive, also worth looking at diesel versions (1.3, 1.6, 2.0) as they will be cheaper to run. If in good condition and maintained properly, you should easily be able to get 100k+ miles out of it.
The orange dash screens just seem a bit outdated compared to the mk3 focus this feels like a car from the previous decade with those orange screens still
This car is from 2013 so basically a decade old lol. The Astra K from 2016 onwards and especially the Astra L from 2022 onwards have much more modern interiors.
@@lysha2647 I’m getting one for my first car the day after tomorrow. 🔥 Astra’s are waaaa better than fiestas and Corsas and golfs and polos and all other LAME cars. Astra gang for lyf
@@fadzilicious4411 Just got myself a 14 plate (May aswell be a 15 plate as it was registered 28th of Dec lol) ... 1.6 CDTI in crystal blue. Can't stay out of it...It's gorgeous. Got it a steal at £2200.
