This channel saves me loads of time when doing cars I've never done a clutch on in my small independent garage. Things like how gear linkages come apart etc are a big help 👍
Really enjoyed this video and was amazed how much work was involved to replace the clutch what was impressive about it was you done most of the work while laying on your back which can’t be easy but you made it all look very easy so well done Kevin the clutch Ninja.
You got a good “wrench feel” - torquing the pressure plate and other bolts. I can feel those years of experience through the screen. Well done buddy, top-class your videos.
Amazing work! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us! When your are supporting the engine, if the rubber pad slips or the jack lowers is there the danger of the engine falling down on you ? or the other mount can still hold the weight of the engine ?
A channel full of knowledge. Not a week goes by without me seeing a clutch replacement. I'm not a superman like you, so how much weight do you estimate the Corsa gearbox has? 😁
Certain cars I’ve stopped doing. And A4 is one of them. I can take it on. But the in-line engine makes it a bit longer to access the side driveshaft bolts. For the right money I’ll do it tho.
How long did this take you to do? I’m having to change my flywheel soon because it’s juddering everytime I’m in 1st gear setting off. Sooo just trying to see if I can do it whilst working full time 😅 mine is a 66 corsa .
Hi brilliant videos, youve given me the confidence to change my clutch on my sons corsa e, quick question on the corsa e theres a lower leg frame running from the rad pack that isnt on the corsa d. Can you still get the gearbox out with that there?
Got the new one in tried it … it smashed a hole in the inside of the bell housing/ gear box right in line with the starter motor … the rivets in the new kit are 1mm higher than the old ones on the pressure plate . Do you think that could be the cause ?
Some captions here and there would be good. I was curious about why the bell housing had grass cuttings inside it and why you greased the bolt holes. The hydraulic connector looked strange, is that something new or am I just hopelessly out of date?
hi. this is a great video, very helpful!! would you be able to tell me how to remove the plastic grommit in the top of the bell housing? my slave cylinder looks different to this and the old fluid pipe does not match the new slave cylinder. old pipe is not compression fitting. wondering if someone has fitted a diesel one? please help sir.
If it was me i would replace a flywheel seal ring while your are in YOU did not mention that we have to set engine at Tdc mark also i suppose we schould put mark befor removing clutch plate
