You FEEL the car and drving experience, you can make your own criteria by just looking at this video. My conclusion, this year's car suspension is stiff, not as hell, but stiff. Super Videos! I was doing a bit of research into getting a 2012 jetta se and ended up here. Dude this video was practically therapeutic. You've reassured my decision into this car, I want that kind of relaxing drive! Edit got a silver 2012 2.5se with 70k from carvana delivered on new years eve that morning and I been loving it!

I was really surprised how it handled that entrance ramp at 3:55. And I love the 5 cylinder sound, too. This Jetta reminds me a lot of my first car - a base 1995 Volvo 850 Sedan with a 5-speed manual and non-turbo inline 5.

This car feels like it hasn't aged at all, I can't believe that this is a 2013 model!

There's a Jetta around town with an intake and exhaust, and man when that thing goes through town... what a nice sound. My brother was inside and asked what it was. He didn't believe me that a VW 2.5L could sound so good.

Just bought mine in white over black, SE w/ Convenience. I take delivery tomorrow and I am beyond excited!

I have this car same thing 5 speed manual but black on black with chrome trim and I love it! Get out of my way if your see me on the highway! Bought it with 23k miles in 2015 and now I'm at 108k miles. Only a belt had to be replaced since I bought it. Such a reliable car.

Def. Make sure its the 2.5 though and not the base model 2.0. I have a 2011 2.5 SE, Great car, GREAT engine. Just took it from illinois to colorado and back, averaged 34mpg doing 70-80mph all highway, mixed i get around 30. Engine is plenty powerful and had 0 problems going up and down mountains, also Sport mode is tons of fun! Nice quiet ride, and been super reliable so far. Cheers!

Not yet, we have a very old video of the A3 TDI back when I just started doing videos for the channel. We'll have to see what the 2013 press fleet brings, a TDI is a possibility! I'm trying to get a GLI to film, too. -Chris

Got my 2013 Jetta over the weekend. Really really enjoy it and only had like 8k miles on it ( got lucky there lol ) and I overall love and enjoy it. But from driving my old car a 99 Acura CL that had 155k when I got it and went bad on transmission 20k miles later it's gonna take some getting used to. But the overall handling of it is impressive in my book:) and the base model is enough for me.

This is an excellent form of reviewing. My only suggestion is to add some DnB to the background

Super reliable car and the 6 speed automatic is super mega reliable too.

Seems like it would make a fun commute car and hold the family on the weekends. Real nice. Would be definately on my short list if I was currently shopping. Wondering if you miss a 6th gear on those long highway drives or not... Also did I see no auto headlights and traction control was enabled?

Good sounding engine, sounds quite a lot like an Audi TTRS, they are both 2.5L 5 cylinders but TTRS has turbo and around 200 more hp

I just bought the trend line plus Jetta the standard car. So far its everything that ive wanted there is just a small problem with my version of the Jetta, the knob to adjust the mirrors is done manually so i got to go from the left then stretch to the right.. its a lil pain but hey i ant changing the mirrors everyday.

Lol I've had my Jetta for a month. We are getting along. My first car was a 2003 Passat. It was a good car. I am just a little disappointed in the interior because it looks cheaper but at least with the material it's made out of it won't be peeling. Lol knobs were falling off in my ride.

This car is perfect, interior is almost exactly like my dads new audi, just a beutiful and inexpensive car!

Iv'e seen it and they look 100 percent different. The Jetta has had this style since 2010 so the 2013 Civic was actually styled after this car according to you.

That doesn't look nearly as bad as a lot of people make it out to be. Looks like it's still pretty fun. It might not be quite as premium looking as it used to be, but it still looks nice for the price. It is a bit bland on the outside though, I must admit. They should spice it up just a bit to attract more customers.

God the 5-cylinder sounds amazing. It's a shame that VW doesn't seem to have taken engineering it too seriously. I bet with DI it'd easily push +250hp; doesn't it get 340 something horsepower in the TT RS with turbocharging?

I like it. I always did. For me the new Volkswagen is like an iPhone. Everybody hates it yet everybody wants one and enjoys using and owning it. It is just a quality product as a package. Well finished, feeling well bolted together. Reliability will not top Japanese economy cars, but driving VW just for pleasure is something you can't do with a Civic. Just my 2 cents.

thats ok, my only advice to you is that you stay away from the scirocco i have a terrible experiencie with my 2012 the dsg is giving me problems since the 12,000k and the a/c too.

5 cylinders typically have the smoothest flattest torque curve of any other "affordable" engine. Iv'e wanted the 1.4 TSI for a while, but why would they bring over that engine to america if they won't even bring the Scirocco...
