In this video I will present you a weird way to test the fuel injectors without any special equipment - just common tools . This procedure can be done on meny other vehicles when is phisically possible - the injectors must be on top of the engine ,easy accesible .

Thanks for your contribution! It’s been really useful for me here in Argentina! My vw up just started failing, luckily I’ve got my scanner and it displayed p020200 code which is electric malfunction in cilindre 2. I replaced inyector 2 following your instructions and problem solved!

Been watching your videos closely. Great work! 👍 Having a bit of a nightmare trying to establish what on earth is going on with my 2012 VW Move Up! (60ps). Symptoms: 1- Occasionally struggling to start when cold. Sometimes starts and dies straight away. 2- When cold and you accelerate it feels like its over fueling and the engine wants to die. I liken it to driving an older car with a choke out for too long. If you accelerate it floods the engine. Particularly scary when trying to get out from junctions! It can end up back firing too. 3- Hesitation / Poor Fueling. Sit at a steady 30 or 40mph in 3rd, 4th or 5th gear, foot completely still and the car hunts and feels like I'm prodding the throttle like a pogo stick. This happens whether the car is hot or cold. It’s throwing (intermittently) code: 2822 - Bank 1; System Too Rich off Idle P2178 00 [100] - - I’ve tried the following: Replacement Lambda Sensor. New Bosch spark plugs & Air Filter. Replacement Coil Packs (2nd Hand). New MAP sensor. Still happening? Any ideas on where to look next?? Injectors, sensors?? Thanks in advance! Keep up the great videos 👍

Were you able to fix it in the end? Having a similar issue here... 2 years now on and off and I´m aching to throw the demon into the bottom of the sea. Failing to start when cold and stuttering as if it needs more gas. In total, and on recommendation of various mechanics (including licensed VW shop), changed the motor thermostat probe twice (cable had charred). 8 months after, problem returned. VW shop new proposal: replace ECU and the entire engines cabling (+2k EUR) - they calked it to "water leak in the ECU". Refused that... Now, check this: magically, the problem disappears before I was able to take it to another specialised auto electronic shop. "Nothing wrong with it" they said. Now: Just yesterday, the engine light came on - anticipating the engine stutter will come back any day now. VW Up 2012

Thanks a lot for your helpfull videos! Did you crank it for 10 seconds? Or more like 20-30 seconds? Because I got only 2 grams after 20 seconds, while you got 3 grams after "let's say 10 seconds". Might be having an issue with running lean because of lack of fuel supply.
