Short and sweet and to the point. I wish it went into a little more detail discussing cleaning up the carrier and grease points but definitely short + sweet. Thank You.

Very well explained. The rubber around the brake carrier is split on mine and theres all crap/rust on the pins. Do i needxa new carrier or can i just clean out the hole thanks.❤❤
@YOUCANIC
@YOUCANIC 2 месяца назад
Thanks for your comments! If the rust is not too extreme, cleaning and re-lubricating the pins might work. However, if the rubber is significantly damaged or the rust is too severe, replacing the brake carrier may be necessary. To decide, you might find our resources on YOUCANIC helpful. We are committed to empowering car owners like you. Our YOUCANIC scanner along with our helpful guides and factory repair manuals should guide you in making informed decisions about your car. Please feel free to reach out to YOUCANIC Tech Support for further assistance. We're glad to be on this journey with you! www.youcanic.com/

quick question, do you really need to take out the carrier to fit the new pads, because typically in most vehicles, the pads are a clip on post removing the old ones...

Great video quick question does the e brake affect front pads or only if I was changing the back brake pads n rotors ty
@russianasdfg
@russianasdfg 8 месяцев назад
I've only done my rear brake and rotors once so far following youtube vids on my 2018 mazda 3. I had to put it into maintenance mode to do so and it uses the ebrake mechanism to do so. So I'm almost positive e brake is all back brakes.

What, no grease on back of pads or pad 'ears' to prevent brake squeal? High temp anti-sieze on hub would be best so new rotor never rust welds onto it.

Good and snug means exactly what? OTOH the carrier at 92-100 ft. lbs. and the caliper at 20-22 ft. lbs. means something.
@YOUCANIC
@YOUCANIC 2 месяца назад
Hi there! "Good and snug" is a general term used to indicate that parts need to be well-fitted and secure, but not overly tightened that could possibly lead to stripping. If you're looking for specific torque specifications, like your mentioned 92-100 ft.lbs for the carrier and 20-22 ft.lbs for the caliper, you can find these details in our factory repair manuals on our website, www.youcanic.com. We are here to make DIY car maintenance stress-free and appreciate your valuable feedback. Our mission is to empower car owners like you!

Please clean off the oil on the rotors, which is for preventing rust during shipment, before installing. I'd recommend watching a couple other videos and take note of some preventive steps he hastily overlooked.
