The last (and only) time San Fran has visited Arlington. Colin Kaepernick and the Niners face Tony Romo and the Cowboys in a much-anticipated matchup to kickoff the 2014 season.
Yeah the piss poor drafting and personnel decisions from Baalke starting in 2012 really came back to bite this team by the 2014 season. By 2014 the team had no depth and the starters were all old. Harbaugh’s stubbornness sticking with Roman also cost them.
49ers playing in LA, Dallas and London have all been like home games. Massive fan base thanks to players like Montana, Young, Rice, Lott, Taylor, Craig, Jones, Rathman, coaches like Walsh, Seifert, Hologram and owners like DeBartlo
This game was so misleading. You thought the 49ers were going to be as good as they had been the previous two years and that the Cowboys were going to suck. Yet, both teams went in completely opposite directions after this contest
@@jrod132 they didn't really have any big name players in 16-17 silly man they were NO NAME BUMS they were 2-14 in 2016 and 6-10 in 2017, what the hell do you mean what I'm talking about, and last season no nick bosa, Solomon Thomas, George kettle, Jimmy garoppolo, debo samuel, tevon colman, just to name a few while your confused, the 49ers still won the same amount of games as Dallas who couldn't make the playoffs with the weakest division probably in football history lol, do you know what the hell I'm talking about now? Lol
As a 49er fan i had high expectations heading into the 2014 season but what i didnt know there was locker room drama and harbaugh and jed had beef with each other. Such a shame
I remember the headlines leading to this game that there were rumors that the 49ers were thinking of trading Jim harbaugh to Cleveland and Glazer reporting that the 49ers were going to get rid of Harbaugh even if they go 16-0. Niners looked like they overcame that distraction and took it on the cowboys. They went 8-8 that year
I remember that! Long before there was any hint of friction between Harbaugh and York, there was an article that came out during that summer, claiming that it was actually the players who wanted Harbaugh gone.
As a 49ers fan I thought this team was still a contender and I was pumped after this win. But unfortunately this was the highlight of their entire season as ownership drove Harbaugh out of town.

Romo literally had an MVP caliber season after this game.... 4th in tds. Led the league in QBR, Rating, Completion %. Y/A. When had dak led the nfl in anything... Besides picks?
Any chance you have the 1993 NFC Championship game? I ask because I believe that was the game for CBS for 4 years. I just wanted to hear the sign off from Madden and Summerall
Hyde was tough...he just struggled staying healthy. Dallas fans complain about Dak but forget how much better he was then Romo. My 9ers got it done again and again against those Cowchumps😂
Epic moment man all red .... #RedNGold From TX and been a Niner Fan since Little ... our family didn't want to join the Bandwagon Of cry baby Cowboys if I had to say from the late Joe Montana early Steve Young and me watching the niners since 90s my top and favorite so far... will be 1 Frank Gore 2 Deion sanders 3 Dashon Goldson 💯💯
That’s why you haven’t won a Super Bowl since 1994 yes longer than great Cowboys choke that down and your gay bay team , Cowboys own 49crygirls 4-0 in championship games leading to the Super Bowl in 1970s and 1990suoi gay bay only got the best of us last few times . Enjoy losing again no superbowl again what a shame 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Cowboys owned the phones niners for 30 years I guess you guys would have too win a few . Plus you haven’t won a superbowl since 1994 longer than the greatest team Cowboys. You can carry the water bucket 🪣 😂😂😂😂
We smashed you sorry team 4 -0 in championship games when it matters son . Let this make you cry you haven’t won a superbowl since 1994 yes longer than the greatest America’s team Dallas Cowboys 😂😂😂😂😂😂 had to put you straight snap your delusional dreams boy.😂😂😂
49ers looked like a good team and went on to be 8-8. Yet they still showed the problem that would vex them all of the 2014 season.. NO SECOND HALF SCORING. Funny how the Cowboys looked bad but went 12-4 on this season. Also Vernon Davis would do NOTHING after this game.
@Doctor Ryman Hopefully Kaepernick gets signed this upcoming season. Right now, qb's such as Ben Dinucci, C.J Beathard, Mason Rudolph, Daniel Jones, Chad Henne, Mike White, Nick Mullens, Blaine Gabbert, Sam Darnold, Mike Glennon etc... are in the league and they are below average at best. On the other hand, Kaepernick went to 2 NFC Championship Games, 1 super bowl and still holds the record, to this day, for the most rushing yards by a qb in a playoff game with 181 yards vs Green Bay. If these qb's are in the league, then Kaepernick should be also.
Dallas owns 49ers in Championship games going 4-0 beating phoneys aszz every time when it matters so put that in your piece pipe and smoke that down.loser plus last niners superbowl win was 1994 yes longer then America 🇺🇸 team Cowboys hahaha 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
19:55. Wow Are we going to ignore how great of a play and throw that was by Kaepernick. What a fkn throw!. Under pressure, off balanced running at angle.
That first TD drive for Dallas got a lot of help from the refs. They must have gotten the signal from somewhere to help them out. And it continues in the Niners following drive.
@@fantasyrosa .... I disagree because Jim is what led them to the super bowl and the NFC championship the following year. What happened is that the defense is caught up to Kaepernick and when Jim left it was downhill from there
Shows how much you know sissyniners from gaybay Cowboys own the niners for 40 years so I guess phones niners due too win some but still have not won a superbowl since 1994 yes longer than the greatest franchise ever Cowboys 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
If memory serves me right Cowboys went on a winning streak winning 7 in a row before losing their second game of the season and finish with a 12-4 record.
If Colon Paperdick hadn't been the clown to kneel and cause trouble, NO ONE would remember him. He'd already be forgotten by now. When Romo goes into the Ring of Honor and Hall of Fame, it will cement his legacy as one of the true greatest QBs of his era.
Everybody kept saying Romo was better than Troy Aikman on paper but it never translated. The Romo years were not good years for the cowboys. The amazing part beyond this game is how many excuses Romo came up with, but never squarely put the blame on himself. His throwing game was totally pitiful. The fact of the matter is Romo was never going to take the Cowboys to a Super Bowl ever. It was a bet you could easily win on.
You're full of shit. When Romo was to blame, he accepted full responsibility and often when he didn't. Aikman himself said Romo was a far better QB than he was and if you had given Romo the teams Aikman had, Romo would've easily taken the Cowboys to the Superbowl many times and won at least as many as Aikman did, probably more. Aikman was a pocket passer and Romo could throw in virtually any position and was known for his ability to pass very efficiently and accurately on the run. You're obviously a fucking clown that doesn't know what he's talking about.
Superbowl what count not stats Roger Staubach and Troy Aikman best Quarterback in Cowboys history 5 superbowls titles only Steelers with 6 and patriots with 7 have won more than Cowboys, niners have not won one since 1994 longer than yes Cowboys 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Thank you. Romo was a straight up turnover machine yet nit wits conveniently forget that 😉 We were LITERALLY called "The 8-8 Boys" with him as QB 😢 But if you listen to the right Cowboys fans, they will have you believe he was Joe Montana and Dan Marino all rolled up into one 😆😆😆
OMG, Romo played very bad, but very bad, or it was only that day? 🤔 And Garoppolo is almost crucified when he plays better than others QB's elite, puf.
This was week one of the season and the rest of the season he played great, he was literally a mvp candidate that year lol, Aaron rodgers threw 130 yards 0td 2 interceptions in week one lost 38-3 and he’s basically locked for mvp this year. It was his defenses fault, just look at the cowboys defense statistics his career all bottom 1/2. He had a fuck up here and there but he was never playing with a super bowl level team to begin with so it really didn’t matter
@@ItsVes999 Bottom line on Romo was he never stood up in the big games. If you're the Dallas QB you're ultimately judged by postseason success, not regular season stats. Gotta love the Romo apologists.
@@pretorious700 He stepped up vs the Lions in the 4th in the playoffs didn't he? I also remember him throwing a great ball to dez on 4th and 1 vs the packers? I think he stepped up correct? Idk 0 interceptions in both those playoff games and had an mvp caliber season but ig he's the reason Demarco murray fumbled with nothing but green ahead and Dez "dropped" the ball by extending the ball he caught for the goal line. Romo early in his career struggled to win and choked I can't deny that. It's a team game tho. I have never understood the QB obsession. Brady once led an offense to 9.7ppg in the playoffs and won the SB. But he's the Hero? Or I guess Eli made the pats score their lowest points literally all season in the SB and he's the MVP? Don't get it. I never will
@@ItsVes999 Dallas is a "legacy" team, which means they have a history of championships. This puts, fairly or not, a lot of pressure on QBs. They are judged by championships, and their mistakes are magnified.
Since this game Dallas zero superbowl appearances 2-4 playoff record 49ers 2-1 with a superbowl appearance One year and they already got the same amount of playoff wins lmao
@@nala3038You know what the evidence is if you really watched the game. The NFL has admitted they rig games. Did you not know that? Who do you think PAYS the refs? The fans? The owners?.The networks? Open your eyes. Or don't. Believe what you want. EVIDENCE? It's in the film/ video of the game(s).
