I had so much fun at my very first ELVIS WEEK! I want to send a great BIG THANK YOU to Holly and her family for letting me tag along on their family vacation to Gracelannd and experience ELVIS WEEK! The Johnsons are a wonderful family who enjoy bringing ELVIS to his fans and vice versa.
Although I have never to Graceland, I was so-ooo lucky to have seen Elvis in concert in Cleveland 2 times, he was unbelievably handsome and what a talent he was, always will be my favorite!!L LOVE, LOVE, LOVE HIM!!!!!!!!
In 2014 Oct/Nov , I went to Greg Pages Elvis museum at Parkes NSW Australia. I was excited I was going to see Elvis's cars. But I was too late. I didn't know Elvis's cars were sold at auction back to Graceland. Amongst other things. I still enjoyed being there. There were so many of Elvis thing. I was overwhelmed actually and stopped walking and cried. I touched his velvet lounge. I think it was green. Every year, thousands of people on Elvis birthday, go to Parkes to see his things and parade down the streets.
And weighs 3 lbs!!! Some of Elvis’ jewelry I find pretty Gaudy even back then. Could you have pictured Elvis with a big Gold clock on a chain around his neck? But really, I think that he owned a lot of large Holy Cross pendants over the years and gifted quite a few when he gifted jewelry.
I guess they have to sale his things to keep Graceland going. Sad in a way. I still love his music. I would like to have the handwritten set list. Not in my means.
