You can never go wrong with an Audi A4 or A5. I've got a A4 1,8 Turbo 2001. It's a beast. Would never trade Audi for a BMW, Mercedes-Benz or any other!
I own a 2016 A4 Quattro Premium Plus w/ ZF8 Auto in this same specification. The interior is wonderfully built, very quiet, rattle-free (even 5 years/77,500mi later) and the sport seats are super comfortable and supportive, this makes long road trips a breeze; at 6'3", I can drive nonstop from Los Angeles to San Francisco without any discomfort and I feel fresh after a 5-6 hour drive. The car drives like its on rails, handles the twistys so well, brakes amazingly, and eats up highway miles like no other. The MMI system is old but intuitive and responsive, even by modern standards; I added a wired/wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay unit to the car which integrates seamlessly with the OEM controls and breathes new life into the car keeping it modern. The B&O stereo is to die for and sounds incredible. The styling is beautiful and the car still looks fresh by today's standards, and it has aged so gracefully. I purchased mine in August 2019 as a one-owner vehicle from CarMax with 42,500mi, it was maintained at Audi its entire life, had remaining AudiCare, and I purchased a 125K mi extended warranty w/ low deductible on it for an extremely reasonable price through CarMax; now I am at 77,500mi as of June 2021 and it has been extremely reliable. All that has been done to it was having a leaky water pump replaced and two engine mounts replaced, as they are hydroelectric and inevitably crack and leak the fluid out (both of these are very common issues on the 2.0T and Audi products in general), two low deductibles later and the warranty has more than paid for itself. You should definitely consider an extended warranty at the time of purchase, just for peace of mind, mind was very reasonable as I stated, and has more than paid for itself (approximately 2.5x at this point) due to "expectedly unexpected" issues that I knew would eventually pop up (read on the forums for general problems; nothing CATASTROPHIC has happened to me yet/nor do I think it will). I highly recommend the B8.5 2013-16 Audi A4/A5 Quattro as an affordable, reliable, and well-built entry into the used luxury car segment. Overall, the A4/A5 has the general reliability of a GLI/GTI/Tiguan/_________(insert Audi/VW product that shares the same EA888 engine) and requires basic maintenance - I mean the EA888 has been around forever, it has its issues here and there but is a very solid engine overall. If you learn the basics of these cars, maintain them with 5,000-7,500mi oil changes, and learn what is *actually* needed at service intervals versus what Audi will try to upsell you on, you can have a great and affordable car that will last you a long time. ***Whatever you do, DO NOT purchase a FWD/MuliTronic CVT A4 or A5; you might as well buy a cheaper VW at that point, plus that powertrain/transmission combination is an absolute piece of crap.***
Very detailed review! I really enjoyed it. The only thing is that I have found MMI control system much easier to use than some reviewers say. It might be the best German control system out there.
I love both Audi and BMW. However, living up north, I am picky in the winter time performance and looks. Honestly, this car looks absolutely stunning! I want one immediately.
this guy has the right seller idea he complements it and also talks about some pretty damn important cons, like the mmi and the leg room. if i had the funds i would have gone with an audi
White with blk. Interior, great choice, 6 speed another great choice , Quattro is not for me to much noise from the drive shaft + diff, unless if you live in the mountains . Wheels are interesting but would still look better with the bs7 rs4 19" wheels.
Putting the key in the ignition makes a lot of sense. Otherwise it's easy to lose or forget, especially if valet parking. The MMI seems like a pain. Why not just have a touch screen? If you're actually driving the car and enjoy accelerating and going through curves the manual transmission is the better choice. For sitting in rush hour traffic the automatic is better. Kind of obvious

Financing cars is not a good idea unless it's for business and it pays itself, if you really have to finance find cars that don't depreciate fast like Toyota trucks or lexus

The Audi MMI is intuitive, easy to learn and simple operate; there are virtually no instances where it'd be necessary to visually assist yourself while accessing the controls when driving. The media volume is set apart enough from the cluster where there's no need to look for it. The select button is centered in the cluster and only the shift knob is bigger. The phone button is in the best location possible and couldn't be easier to access by feel. Selecting a media device, a GPS destination or contact shouldn't be done in a moving vehicle anyway. Aside from all that, the above mentioned MMI features can also be manipulated from the steering wheel.
Right. Audi designers said that they placed the controls there specifically to keep people from having to lean forward toward the dashboard while driving, which could cause you to veer off the road etc. And the knobs are designed in such a way that you shouldn’t have to look at them - just feel your way around.
I want an AWD car with plenty of space and alright fuel economy but i don't want a car that looks ugly, like most hatchbacks and suvs. It will be my first and only car for the time being and my budget can go as high as $36,000(I would prefer to buy new). Ive been looking at WRXs, EVOs and Audi A4s I even thought about buying a Charger because of how big it is. But I've never bought a car before so i want a second opinion.

Interior looks super dated. Idk why everyone keeps going on about Audi interiors.. considering it's a 2014 model and the center console is so boring and is a flat look with air vents taking a huge portion..
It's an audi a4 practically the lowest model you can buy the nicer interiors come with the higher models A6 S4 S5 then the RS models then dont get me started with the A8 which is like an airplane inside
Ben Nikola A8 of course, that competes with the S class, 7 series and the LS. But it's not the lowest model anymore and with a BASE price of around 38k, it just looks super cheap and old. Audi is apparently known for it's interiors and A4 is it's volume seller, I'm not convinced by it's reputation honestly..

Please they are still using that audi a6 interior layout from 2005 ugly interior no backup camera. no intelligent cruise control,.No blind spot prevention, no adaptive brake prevention. offer no tech. i can run faster then this engine weak horsepower, only thing that this car got's going for itself is reliability. New flash most luxury car are reliability these days. infiniti Q50 is the same price offer you better performance better style, amazing interior and techonogly that is unmatched in its class. audi doesnt even try anymore just selling cars based off there big name that only can last so long till ppl start catching on.
I have had my Audi A4 2014 S-Line for a few months now and while I think it's a beautiful looking car, its got to be the most uncomfortable car I've ever drove. Hard suspension and bucket seats. All style, no substance. Time to trade it in.
Just another reviewer that can't put down a German car! Exterior is a shoebox, interior, especially the dash, is ancient looking. If it wasn't German he would have described it just as I did.
