I just traded in my Audi for one. I absolutely love it. The LTZ really feels premium and plush! The 4 wheel drive feels crazy strong. I can’t wait to see where my journey with this amazing truck goes.
I HATE SEEING TRUCK LOVERS LIKING CARS IN COMMENTS ESPECIALLY COMPARISONS IN ACCELERATION VIDEOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 BTW WHAT KIND
rubiks15 Is it really that much of a hassle to take your gloves off and put the key into the ignition to start the truck, or are you just that lazy and tend to forget which pocket you put your keys in. Or do have bad eyes to find the ignition hole.
rubiks15 WHOA THERE RUBIKS. WHY SO SERIOUS ALL OF SUDDEN? I don't understand??? Maybe it's because people are having issues with the PUSH-TO-START buttons FAILING on them causing serious engine problems and accidents. Or maybe I'm just an OLD FASHION type of man who likes the feeling of PUTTING THE KEY INTO THE IGNITION AND TURNIN' THE TRUCK ON. And so Mr Rubiks15, maybe YOU should follow your own advice, and " LEARN TO ACCEPT SOMEONE'S OPINION ". Also.- The hell you telling me about your resume for, MR BIG SHOT. What. You think that makes you SPECIAL cuz you run your ' OWN BUSINESS " with " 32 EMPLOYEES IN THIS TERRIBLE ECONOMY "? Does that make you a TRUCK EXPERT now because ' TRUCKS ARE BUILT AND TARGETED TOWARD PEOPLE " like you??? GET OVER SELF!! I was living in the state of Washington years back having to deal with rain & snow, so don't comment towards me like the back of my ears are still wet. Cuz I'm a little too old to be called a " BRAT '.
Too many recalls on GM products so it's a no brainer for me to not get a Chevy. My mom owned 2 fords and they both gave her issues. Looks like Tundra or Titan for me.
Scott Wilkins I'll do research, but so far those who I know have them said just take care of it and it will take care of you lol. If there were anything "fatal" I would have known already. I'm not an off road guy so I won't have to worry about tearing it up so quickly when I get one.
Billy Freeman I understand the resentment against numerous recalls, but look into what was actually recalled. of the 8.4 million vehicles affected by GM recalls 8.2mil of those were replacing any form of the ignition used in the mid 2000's cobalt and other similar compact and mid sized chevy's. Some of the other recalls consist of side airbags, window motor issues, and a few other less common interior issues. GM has been cleaning house and recalling all of the noted issues to start with a clean slate. And you should also note that there have been very very few recalls to GM trucks. Ford, GM, and Dodge have well proven trucks that consistently outperform nissan and toyota in the full sized truck segment.
SADLY A NON-TRUCK FAN (MUSCLE/SPORTS CAR FAN) LIKED THIS WHEN IT DEBUTED MADE ME ALMOST HATE IT (EVEN MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪)
@@alexklein455 its had some major issues i still have the truck 12k to finish paying it off at the time everything is working i replaced the transmission warranty covered 3k of repair bill 4.8k i replaced all the ac system compressor condenser ect. 900 out of pocket, battery half priced thanks to some random guy for 100 bill and used a 35% discount coupon on a starter that it did not even need 170 in mail waited 7 days installed myself..... not sure of ill buy another gm truck again after this just would like it to work wanted it to last me a good 10 years
I got my LZ for $36K after discount from $43k. It has Leather electric heated seats, Back up camera, bigger dash screen, Dual climate control, and Bluetooth. SO you can get the important tech features for under $40k. The mid trim I got was the only with leather seats of 22 plus models they have on the lot.
Kudos on such a superb review! Two of my favorite touches on the new Body Style are the LED Interior lights and a sunglasses holder. Chevy finally realized that the little things count. Can't wait for the new Tahoe to hit the roads!
Beautiful truck. I was disappointed that the lower model doesn't have the projection headlights. Come one Gm. Halogen who uses that junk anymore. But Love the truck.
I am a Ford man but have driven the Silverado with a V6 engine in the DC area for a week and fallen in love with it.I averaged 18 MPG. Yes it is big but with the power just point and shoot. If the GPS said go down this road and it looked too tight i just kept going. It will recalibrate. Sadly i do have mix feeling, I hate Chevy, but love this truck..
I just purchased one for 35k but it only had 25k miles. I'm impressed, ive owned a Ram (junk) and a Tundra (i really liked but thought I would try out something else) Out of the 3 I say the Chevy did offer more for the money and it rides really smooth. So far I'm really happy.
Traded my Silverado 2008 Z71 for the new 2014 Z71, and simply love it! Makes more then 100km on a full tank (now around 650km, then around 525km), and all the new inside features are awesome..
I also have a 2008 Z71 LTZ 4x4, fully Loaded incl sun roof, rear cam, DVD/Nav radio, and 20"wheels. She's a bute but I am thinking now at 60K miles to trade her in on the 2014 or 2015 LTZ Z71 but maybe go to the 2500HD. Are you still happy you traded in? I'm on the fence. Luv the truck with all my upgrades but damn, these new ones are sweet and better gas mileage. I was just about to do a 2.5"lift but maybe its time to trade in? lol
Just traded my 2005 Silverado for this black regular single cab 2014 Z71 w only 72,000 miles. What an amazing ride. Drives like a dream and looks hotter than a Las Vegas hooker...
Wow, this is the first time i can say that i am interested in a truck, and its a GM. They're really stepping there game up! Awesome truck, id buy if i had the money lol :p
I just bought an old Chevrolet Avalanche 2004. And I have a lot to do! I hope that Silverado 2014 will be my next! Good luck with everything! Greetings from Russia!
Everybody talks a big game about the Fords ''built Ford tough'' when indeed which truck is known and proven to be the longest lasting trucks on the road?... Chevrolet! Where i live i see more chevy trucks on the road than anything else.
TRUE! My Neighbor has a 1989 Silverado with the original engine and still running! I brought one and I can't regret it! 0-60 in 6.5 Seconds in mine! Don't lag! And changes the cylinder at the right moment. Like it does not like it is not sleeping. Sorry I am exited xD
Well today Recall's on Ford is Airbags on newer models... and Chevy Recalls are Ignition on old models. To be honest I don't care about ignition... At least it is not going to kill me like I can just lock the god darn doors... And I am a Ford guy :P
knightrider KR had I chevy monte carlo2003 tration control light on and chevy they don't know how to fixed needle of gas did't work engine switch problem bad transmission with 33,000 same problem with the chevy impala 2004 trail blazer and buick 1999 to 2007 I'm done with chevy I bet ter go with a ford maybe a Toyota
My 2015 silverado made it to 100k miles with no problems, then fuel sending unit quit from rusting out. Then fuel pump failed.. we had to replace the throttle body, O2 sensors and catalytic converter to get it to run.
Excellent job Sofyan. I'm also impressed with how ***** (as well as GMC with it's redesigned 2014 Sierra) have really stepped up to the plate to make the Silverado a whole better than what it's before :) - Michael Land
That circular looking button at the top of your key fob is the button for remote start. I call the circular button a refresh icon (like the refresh button on an internet browser). Also, all four windows are one-touch down. But only the driver window is one-touch up.
I think that if you combine the sales of the Chevrolet Silverado and the GMC Sierra, which are exactly the same besides some small exterior designs, they combine for more sales than the f150
Gotta kove a Chevysilverado everyone they make gets better and better! I love the ltz model because its loaded with options! I also love the 2500hd 2015
Bought a 2014 1500 LTZ 5.3 Z-71... I owned a 2008 Tundra prior, loved it but I got a better deal on the Chevy when I upgraded. I will never buy another Ford. I bought a 2004 F-150 brand new and when I went to have the spark plugs changed the dealerships wouldn't do it unless I signed a form saying they wouldn't be responsible if the plugs broke off into the engine. Turns out there was a design flaw on the engine which was on 2004-05 5.4l engines from Ford. Can't wait to see what design flaws will show up in a few years on their new eco-boost engine lineup. The only other truck I was considering was the 2016 Titan, but I couldn't wait that long.
Great video as usual. My only complaint is this: Remote start is a nice commodity, not a necessity. You seem to rail on cars that don't have it....and it's really not that necessary.
I drove a 2014 LTZ for 4 hours to return in a 2013 work truck. The old truck was more comfortable and it was a one-ton. The seats are less comfortable than the old model. I couldn't find the speed warning to turn it off. Every time I exceeded 55 miles an hour, warnings went off. Not fun on a 65mph freeway. I also didn't like the small windshield compared to the previous year. If you are moving to a new Chevy from an older model be prepared to be disappointed. I also drove at night (not many test drives do) and found the huge screen doesn't dim as well as the gauges and it was horribly distracting.
Just got rid of my 2002 Silverado before this deployment. I think this will be the one I get when I get home. Let's just hope the running lights stay lit on this beast, I just gave up on them on my 2002. Loved that truck to pieces otherwise.
I purchased a victory red crew cab with the v6 and had the dealer throw in the black leather Interior and chrome running boards basically a texas edition minus the v8 with tax title and license for 33 thousand. I love this truck. A head turner and gas saver at 20 combined. Love watching it "sleep" when it switches to 4 cylinder and estimates me getting more than 40 mpg on the highway. Beautiful interior and high tech imfotainment system. Aggressive grill. Eat it ford, ram and imports.
BMW BMW handles like a champ. It hauls the atv's perfectly. Construction on the other hand can say seeing thats not my job. If it was I would get the diesel. To he his own. Im sure your bmw is the perfect truck..
One complaint I have had with the silverado since 2007 is the cylinder deactivation. Most reviewers say its not noticeable but it is. I remember driving a rental crew cab 08 silverado and it would constantly switch to V4 mode, and like sofyan said it doesn't have much power in V4 mode.
The purpose of the cylinder deactivation system is to make the truck more fuel efficient (such as whenever the vehicle is in idle, being a prime example of one of it's uses). - Michael Land
gm had a chance until 2015 f150 was announced, although it hasnt been tested by a third party extensively, it seems years ahead compared to the more "old school" approach of the italians and govt
Watching in 2022 because I am looking at one. Sadly because of import and taxes, it takes this long for these big trucks to cost what they cost in the US, in my country
Nick, get the Silverado, couple mods u can blow the doors off the camaro on sat night, and go back to work pulling trailers or hauling stuff Monday morning, either a truck man or not
It does look very nice indeed. I find it strange that you say the cylinder deactivation is noticeable. Out of all the other reviewers you are the only one to say that, in fact they rave about how well it works. I have the 2011 which also has the cylinder deactivation & it is completely seamless.
I bought my 2014 LTZ Z71 crew cab last summer with 44k miles on it...i just went over 50k miles on it and had to replace spark plug wires because of bad misfiring...dealer said it is a common problem they have had on these...I think that is crazy premature to replace plug wires!!! Otherwise truck is very nice
Hang on champ you missed out the 6.6 Duramax V8 Diesel. Why is it soo many reviewers miss that one out, it's a dersirable offering and alot of folk buy the diesel for it's towing capacity. I can't drive but from what I've seen over there the diesels are becoming very popular. Well they certainly are here in Britain though we don't have many pickup trucks over here in Scotland we're not a pickup nation LOL.
+Earthlink Landscaping Services Ah right sorry I hadn't looked into that which is surprising considering I do alot of research on the American car industry, moreso than my own over here in Britain LOL. Thanks for pointing that out that is fair point.
Just picked up my 2015 silverado gotta say is a bitchen truck ive had 30 cars and trucks since I was 16 gotta say by far best vehicle I have ever owned hands down go dri e one you wull be impressed
I don't know what to get a chevy camaro or a silverado I like sports cars because they're fast and they look cool but pickup trucks look so freakin huge and awesome
NN Was just thinking that, and don't buy a Silverado without being an experienced driver! You don't want your first vehicle to be a $50,000 truck that you're only going to total anyways.
between the reviews of the silver ado and the f150 that this channel does it is clear that chevy is paying these guys to make the chevy look better.. not saying chevy isn't good i love chevy but its clear
