2014 Chevy Equinox Review 

Chevy must be doing something right with the equinox they are selling over 240,000 units a year in the U.S.

The rear seats slide forward and back to adjust your own cargo space!

Test Drove: 2014 Honda CRV / 2014 Toyota RAV4 / 2014 Range Rover Evoque / 2014 Chevrolet Equinox LT Hands down, I had no problem which to choose, over all performance, comfort, noise level, and fuel economy for the size of the vehicle is great on a 4cyl. Range Rover was cool looking but felt more like station wagon not an SUV or cross over. Winner: Chevrolet Equinox LT 4cyl

Such a great car. I actually drive this same car, except it's a 6 cylinder, which is honestly better because you can use it for more necessities

Its on my radar.....I used to live in Tillsonburg and these are made just down the road from there.

Honestly The only thing I would have to complain about the equinox is it's in need of a restyle at lease exterior wise. Other than that great SUV love it!

We're talking about a Chevrolet, nothing premium or spectacular about a Chevrolet being on a "near-luxury" category, but to even the odds, you will find some nice touches - maybe hard surfaces - but it is a Chevrolet and nothing more; so for him complaining about hard touch materials in a Chevrolet is quite common, because it is not a luxury vehicle, like Cadillac's SRX. So you'd expect that in a such vehicle as an Equinox.

You can get a nice 3 row with Leather and a V6 for 36K.

34,000$ for that nope. A well equipped Subaru Forester XT Premium 30,516$ yes the turbo charged one... why bother.... a basic Forester is only 25,000$.

Four banger sufficient for the Equinox, Alex? Really? Maybe touring the suburbs of Houston but would you really want to try getting over the Cascades (or even the hills of the Palouse) in that vehicle with the 4 cylinder option? GM is building some interesting vehicles but this doesn't appear to be one of them.

Question. Does the Equinox LTZ have heated mirrors, and if so, how do you turn them on?

IDK Alex, at over $34,000 I think I rather get a Honda Pilot or the new Hyundai Santa Fe. That subwoofer in the back of the Equinox takes a lot of the room.

Also out of curiosity I wonder if people here ever consider the fact that buying foreign vehicles, and by foreign I mean built outside USA/CANADA you are not contributing to growth of our economy. Honda, Toyota, Ford, GM make plenty of good cars in north America, but beware they also make some in Mexico etc. We own 3 vehicles, 2 built in USA and 1 in Canada, I love Chevy Silverado but I will not buy Mexican built truck, so chose Ford. We are same way with everything we buy, make an effort to buy products built in countries where cheap labour and human rights aren't exploited and violated. Cheers,
