Great review. The car sure is technical. I loved the slide your hand through the door handle to unlock the car. That's pretty cool. I love Honda Accords. I've owned two so far and this might be my next one since my current Accord is 9 years old now.
Really enjoyed the review. I think more dealerships should do reviews like this. The only thing I would like to hear more about is the audio quality of the 360W system. I suppose I will just have to test drive it myself to find out.
Pro: wonderful style, love alloy wheels, moon roof and leather on touring, fantastic 45/50 mph, cameras, navigation, and features are all a plus on touring model, 5 stars on safety, 8 yr. warranty on motor, very smooth takeoff/ good 226 lbs. torque, low on noise, and powerful engine 196 hp and no transmission. Con: less trunk space due to battery than regular Accord, no spare, new technology of hybrid engine and no history of success/failure of future, can be very expensive to replace electronic components up to $10K within 10 years , 4 tier of controls (many dials on console), door flap next to gearbox is weird, no split of back seats for trunk space, and limited interior colors. Low mpg in cold weather.

What is the cost of each component of the hybrid system? How much does the 2.0 Atkinson cycle DOHC i-VTECH engine, two hybrid motors system, Lithium Ion Battery, and PCU cost? How long does these parts last? This needs to be addressed before buying the Hybrid Accord. Please help. Thank you.
I have not heard of the hybrid engine going bad. This is a new model and much needs to be learned. It will definitely save money with gas in the long run with the electric motor and Ion Battery. The cost of electronic components can be very expensive with a few years of moderate use not to mention labor cost to replace these new hi tech hybrid motor systems. It is all a science experiment and people need to do their homework with repairs or service. This hybrid offers the latest and greatest of innovation. Styling and safety are fantastic, too. Is it worth the money in the long run? That is the ultimate question.
Sunil Patel That is valid concern, i had neighbor that had toyota prisus, after 3 years the battery pack would not charge & the whole hybrid system collapsed, since it's new technology, only place that can fix it is dealer which wanted $3K, they dumped the car and bought gas engine, at least it's proven technology! Look at tesla, their battery pack caused car to catch on fire!
I got this car 2 days ago it amazing to say the least . I got 52 mpg on a 64 mile trip, on small hwy , with stop an go sometimes 4 way stop signs I posted a 2 minute video, you can watch it in my link . I also have an old video of my 2007 hybrid accord v6 which is inherited by my daughter still running good with the original battery at 135 ,000 miles. The system is very smart. An you car run on ev mode when the battery is full in city. This trip on hilly roads.
just noticed Honda in Canada only offered 2 years 100 % warranty excluding labor for the battery/ 3 years 50%. May be people should thnk of why only 2 years..i dont know if US is also 2 years..but canadian buyers would definitely not take that risk..we are talking about paying another 3,4 thousand dollars to replace the battery..this tells me honda doesnt have that kind of confidence that Toyota has. when it comes to hybrid tech..i take a toyotat any day.
Is the Hybrid worth the price premium? I'm leaning toward an Accord Sport or EX and those both look like they get decent MPG (without the hybrid price). Aside from the engine, is there anything else that's different from the non-hybrid versions?

surprised u avoided arrest when in the park..."car is on the dirt" .."car is improperly parked . '[is stolen car hidden in the trees".."car is not blending with foliage" lol etc.
Ilyas Mohmmad Hello ILyas, I hope this helps. EV mode makes it all electric but drains quickly and turn off automaticcaly.Off is the way to go because it will automatically switch to EV when charged.
I hate how you pronounce Honda. I know it's an accent thing, but when you're selling a product say it correctly and save the accent for another time. HAWN-DUH not HANDER
