I just watched Alex Dykes review of this car he tested in 95 degree weather with A/C blasting he said the car had no issues achieving the MPG figures that are posted and said flat out he'd buy the car himself over the other Hybrids in this segment. And he gave a real detailed review @ TTACVIDEO on RU-vid.
I was thinking the same exact thing. The Fusion is better looking and gives a more involved driving experience. Probably why it wasn't mentioned much in this review.
@@a.iassistedtrading8004 I was litterally gonna comment the exact same thing. My friend just got one of these that used to be a taxi in NY so I’m assuming it got a lot of it’s interior and maybe even some stuff under the hood replaced but it run’s AMAZING honestly just like new. And her friend has a fusion that is fucked up every other month.
Considering how big this thing is and that it's just meant to cruise all day, underpowered is pretty subjective. While VW's reliability has been shady, Kelly Blue Book had a long term tester one of these and said reliability was fine. Also, a lot of journalists and consumers get 60PMG highway with the Passat Secondly, I'm in Canada, where Diesel is cheaper, and on the whole, most vehicle's diesel equivalents Diesel MPG makes up for the premium in price and more in the States
it is weird you guys didn't achieve the EPA numbers, LLN achieved close to 60 mpg and MT also achieved higher numbers than the EPA ratings driving like an average consumer...
One thing I've noticed about the 2013 and 2014 Accords is that the front passenger leg room is significantly smaller. I'm 6-foot tall and my legs are bent at a 45 degree angle when the passenger seat is all the way back. My 2003 honda accord model has much more leg room. Why????? This is keeping us from buying a new accord.
Interesting model, I do not think it worth $10,000 more than the sport model. It would take a long time to make up for the cost difference in gas mileage.
Prius is not a full size sedan but it also has more cargo capacity than the Accord...I think they should have gone with a different body style for the hybrid bc you lose the advantage of buying a midsize, it, a large trunk. I dont see the point of full size price, for a midsize car, just to get compact car fuel efficiency and cargo capacity.
Is this better than toyota prius? when it comes down to fuel economy? and which one is actually cheaper to lease in Canada and USA ? the design of this honda is quit nice actually...not a fan of Asian car manufacturers, this looks simple and nice for daily drive toyota prius looks nice too, i loved it, but idk which one wins in the performance
Electric heat kills fuel economy. Plus rear defroster and you great mpg aren’t as great but overall it’s still pretty good. It helps to keep it in a heated garage in the winter.
because it never achieves the EPA ratings... the fusion hybrid compared to the Accord Hybrid and even the Camry is a fail... the Camry even though rated much lower, is actually more efficient in real life than the fusion. and the new Accord trumps both...
That is your opinion about the looks of the Fusion, I differ. Hate cars with that big open ugly grill in the front like a Bass fish's open mouth. Don't care for this Honda's color though. Mazda 6 seems nicer looking now but a smaller car with small monitor screen.
Sure if you want an under powered, unreliable and overpriced car that gets less mpg with more costly fuel...that is exactly why you should by a passat ;-p
