became a MARINE 12/10 /1969 at the age of 19....i'm 73 now.....EVERY time I hear that song my eyes tear up, and the shivers go up my spine. nothing against any of the other branches of the service BUT... the words tell you exactly what we do AND what we have done for the last 248 years. SEMPER FI my brothers!!!!
It brings back lots of memories of boot camp when we had to learn all four versions, and when I became a DI it was my pride to teach the recruits the Marine Corps Hymn, I am looking forward towards going to Parris Island in April for the Di, reunion and c how much Parris Island has changed
Just a word of Thank 's for all the Military Men and Women who Sacrifice for protecting our World. God bless you all. Retire Veteran United States Navy. 👍👍⚓⚓🙏🙏

"All gave some, and some gave all." The next time you see anyone in the military, thank them for the freedoms that we take for granted - and realize how lucky we are. 💖💖💖
As always WELL DONE... Any time I try to relate a U.S. Marine Band to their ability to lift the feeling of pride and resolve, I think of the Bagpipes of the United kingdom.
