For this specific car, do you have to have a wire connected directly to the battery or can you use the bundle of wires under the door (to have it turn on only when the door is open)

Hello, this door sills are required to wire to the cables that are powered when the door open and powered off when the door is closed.So the lighting is controlled by the door, turn on when the door opened and turn off when the door closed. Wire to cables whose power does not controlled by the door is not recommanded and unnessary cause for most of the door the door sill will be covered up when the door closed and may also lessen its service life.

When you install the new door sill, you only need to remove the original car door sill light and replace it with a new one, the new door sill light‘s wire you can connect with the following interfaces： 1. Connect the door control line 2. Connect the reading light 3. Connect the foot light 4. Connect the atmosphere light ......and so on...

@@AoonuAuto alright thank you! Just making sure as in your Scion TC video, it seems you had to connect directly to the battery because the door wire didn't provide enough power or something like that

@@aerowick4643 Yes, we usually connect the negative pole to the door wire controller, and then connect the positive pole to other power cables to power the led door sill.

@@AoonuAuto sounds good. I'll probably order the battery one instead when I'm ready. Do you know how long it would take to ship to California, USA? And can you also do custom logos and fonts?
