2014 Toyota Corolla L Radio & Dash Trim Removal ~ CE S 11th Gen Stereo 

Thank you so much for this video. I finally found a video that explains how to remove the panels piece by piece rather than 1 big connected panel. I want to take apart my dash because I will be vinyl wrapping them soon.

Thanks very much for posting this video! I was able to remove my radio with ease. Here's a tip - when taking off the top trim piece, I found that starting from the far right passenger side (gentle prying against the soft dash along with tugging) and gently pulling and lifting out as you move left was very easy. Came right out. In my case, the LCD display on the radio is bad - looked as though there was a crack in it where the liquid had seeped out and obscured the characters. I lived with it for years, but it kind of annoyed me. Now I've found that it's so easy to replace just the LCD display on the circuit board that I don't have to spend much on an entire cosmetically-imperfect radio to get just that part and install it on my original.

starting from left - antenna is 1st harness, 2nd is steering control and camera, 3rd (grey) is usb/aux in, 5th is rear speakers, 6th is power, acc+, gnd, front speakers etc

There can't be a wire for a back-up camera because there is no back-up camera for the 2014 Corolla L(Base) model. I'm also curious about how to replace my head unit with an aftermarket unit. I went to the dealership where I purchased my car & the service dept. told me that it will be very expensive to replace it. They told me around $2,000 parts & labor. When I showed them the available aftermarket navigation/dvd units from Amazon.com & eBay thru my cellphone, it cost between $300-$600 depending on the features. You should've seen the looked of the service advisor's face lol. He then told to buy one of those & they will gladly install it with, of course, a fee. After watching this video though, at least I'm having an idea to replace it myself or from a friend who has the guts to pry on the dash. Thanks for your tremendous effort on disassembling your own dash & showing everyone how it's done.

I do not own a Corolla, but I am looking into a new one as a commuting vehicle, and I tell ya, I really hope Toyota still sells the base L models with these non-touch radio head units. I like the physical dials for the climate controls, love the physical set of keys, and boy do I ever love this simple, basic radio. But when I looked online at Toyota's website, it appeared as though they stepped up the equipment on the base L to include their more advanced infotainment systems as well.

I believe the trim levels for this year Corolla are L, LE, LE Eco, and S. The CE trim was discontinued before the 11th gen came out.

Blue wire is a constant 12v+. I used it for glove box light install.

the small white plug on passenger side is the back up camera not the grey wire as I thought the grey must be the usb connection

Can you put the touch screen that ins the LE model with the same wire harness in the L? See, I would think so. But I know the LE has 2 extra speakers *basically just tweeters though*
