Modern TKD's front leg kicking leaves me cold, good technique, power and variety have seriously suffered... old school was far superior, just my opinion of course.
That's true, I 'm practicing taekwondo for several years and I can say that this front leg kicking abuse makes me sick... where is the technique? what the fuck is this? WTF should rethink about the rules of the game. The best kick I've seen was at 6:00 (the nero chagi) I can't say for sure but I saw a contact. They give 3 points for nothing and that was the best kick and received zero points.
I compete in tkd and its tough shit, we don't have electronic hogus so its technique, I don't do worlds and crap but I think nationals is close enough. But info agree whole heartedly and am glad I don't have to use this shit
Its so ironic I remember how excited everyone was when they were first talking about introducing electronic hogus. Maybe if they calibrate them to register shock by wieght classes it would be better?
MrPedawdaw Your in my mind man, nowadays ppl thinks its an street fight art just coz its not famous so no one is giving it any interest. that`s really bad im a taekwondo trainee now.
compared to fighting style back then, it is really different. You can see how beautiful of taekwondo was. check taekwondo competition on 80's or even early 2000's. I love this martial arts but im so disappointed now if i look at today's fighting style.. it is no longer interesting
+Mdmmw egRGH This isnt a real fight though lol, its Olympic sparring. Yes its boring to watch but in classes they still teach you good techniques and what to do if you are in a real fight. However, like ive said before it ultimately depends on the school and instructor you learn from.
