Can I do this on my ‘17 RC 350 F Sport AWD ? Also if the inside panels are the same layout as the RCF, that way running the cables inside won’t be an issue ?
Mark Joseph yes there will be a separate cable for the phone to plug in. In this case we placed the female usb connector for the device in the glove box. Apple does not allow connection using USB hub for carplay as such the factory usb connection was not able to be utilized
Is there a way for it to highlight apps and icons on the screen like they do on the newer Lexus models instead of a mouse cursor? I watched another video where another aftermarket nav that looks exactly like this one does this.
Does this kit allow you to see all the factory screen options for radio and climate control? Can you change the screen from Apple screen to factory Lexus screen?
Jc Briones correct the mouse icon is still being used in the production version. We may or may not update it in the future. If we do update it firmware update will be disbursed to everyone who have purchased the product.
I need this for my RC F-sport. I contacted Beat Sonic Japan, but they don’t have it and they said contact Beat Sonic USA directly. Is it possible to install Beat Sonic USA products on the JAPAN model?
so i am trying to see if i can remove the center ac vent easily. is it possible to not remove the entire console to remove the ac vent? can i just losen up the steering column trim, unhook the vent, and then try to pull it straight out?

Guys. There are many 10.25" aftermarket screens on the aliexpress. I am very keen to buy but I obviously need proper after sale support from reputable company like Beat-Sonic. Do you have any plans to adapt similar screens for rc350?
Just letting you all know if you have a 2017 Lexus RC 350 just take it to a Lexus Dealership and they can do a software update for a few hundred bucks and your car can get Apple carplay and Android Auto
I just got this installed in 2016 Lexus RC 200T. There are no next/previous seek buttons next to the mousepad. The steering wheel seek buttons do not work nor do the seek buttons on the factory unit so the only way to go to next/previous song is through the apple carplay on the screen. Is this right?
@@BeatSonicUS This needs more advanced steering wheel support to be useful really. Is this something being looked at or is this a limitation of Apple car play in general? I have never used carplay in a car as yet so this is a genuine question as i am thinking of purchasing this unit for my 2016 RC 350 F sport. I am located in Australia though so unsure what support there would be to install this here.

I was a bit confused how firmware upgrades work if you don't mind though? How do you upgrade once it is all installed? It looks like you have to pull the dash apart again or is it just the part to the side of the radio? Can you suggest anyone in Sydney Australia to do the install if i decide not to do it myself? is there any issue for you to ship to Australia? I can't see how to add anything other than USA / Canada to default address? I have spoken to Beatsonic Australian Distributors too and they said as it's not a licenced Apple product they have decided not to bring them in. I do need to check compatibility with Australian 2016 RC 350 F sport though ? . From what i can gather the only difference from USA one is it doesn't have Hey Siri built in as a steering wheel function. It still works directly from phone and comes through car speakers etc though. Is this going to affect anything?

If the interfaces are mounted behind the glovebox or under the carpet, it should be easily accessible without taking apart your dash. Unfortunately we do not have any installers we work with in Sydney, but any reputable stereo installer should be able to do the work. The kit will work with your RC model without any issues.
Is there anyway you can make a video of steps on how to disassemble and put back the center pieces ? I saw how you open the center piece but you went too fast and did not show how to put back the center piece. Thank you

@@BeatSonicUS on that note, it would be awesome if you could design it to connect as fast and reliably as possible. I got one of those android tablet upgrade systems and it's nice, but the carplay takes way too long to connect. I would pay stupid money for a system that provided a really good user experience.
