Improved Performance. If you're on the hunt for a tuner for your S550 EcoBoost, check out this Unleashed Tuning X4/SF4 Power Flash Tuner. This gives you custom tuning options in a more premium package than you get with some setups. You can use this tuner with a wide range of builds, from stock all the way to crazy gains in horsepower and torque. Just as important, this tuner will help you maintain great drivability, so you can still use your pony on public roads without problems. Again, you can use this tuner on any 2015 to 2017 Ford Mustang EcoBoost. Solid Features. This tuner does come in two versions. One features two custom tunes, while the other gives you three, so be aware of that when ordering. Unleashed can create a tune that will work with a whole range of builds, no matter what you've done or are trying to accomplish. The tuner allows for full datalogging, will read and clear DTC trouble codes, and even display eight different performance values at once. Simple Setup. You don't need to do much to get this tuner set up on your Mustang. After plugging it into the OBDII port, you just follow the on-screen instructions, and the basic setup only takes about 30 minutes.

Some very nice gains for sure. A lot of tuners have been able to squeeze a lot more out of these engines. I hope everyone keeps in mind that tunes will void the factory warranty. Make sure you can afford to pay for a new engine before you tune it up! Good luck everyone, thanks AM!

That being said, although a lot of dealers will indeed void your motors warranty over a tune, some do not and it all depends on the local dealer! Remember, in order for the warranty to be voided, the dealer must prove that whatever mod you installed, is what caused the failure. - Will

Right at 10,000 miles said screw it and tuned it today completely different car. Animal Ecobeast car flies in normal and jets in sport mode

+AmericanMuscle.com awesome! Also, in terms on engine wear, how does this compare to other tuners? It appears that the unleashed tune produces a lot more power than say, Cobb and Bama. I understand that unleashed has been in the ecoboost game longer, this might have been why. Please let me know.

so i got mine today and it didnt come with the two custom tunes... like it lets me adjust manually what i have but theres emptyness in these 87+93 tunes they dont exist on my device

+andreus rosales As you add more modifications, the factory intake becomes more and more restrictive. With a factory car, the cold air intake and tuner combo gets most of the power gains from the tune itself. However, if you add exhaust and other mods that need supporting air, the factory air intake becomes much more restrictive. We always like to recommend these as a combo because you'll get 28-32 HP and TQ at the wheels now plus better throttle response, gas mileage, etc. Down the road, the intake will be working even harder for you when you add more! Why does the stock ecoboost drops 239hp in the dyno when in the ford official page it says it generates 310HP?

TWo things: -These modern turbo fours have so called "break in" periods, usually anywhere from 0-1500 miles on the odometer to up to 3000 miles. Dynoing a car before the break in results in less power. I've seen dyno charts of non broken in Ford Focus RS's with this same engine running more boost/different timing make only 240 WHP, but immediately after about 2000 miles the cars gain something like 50-75 WHP. -Drivetrain loss with a RWD car. Ford is only publishing crank horsepower numbers, as do all manufacturers. I truly believe with these boosted engines that the power is only a guess at best.

Because they tested the hp and torque at the wheels instead of at the engine like ford does to get those numbers.

Domingo Chacon Engine starts to put that power out at a certain rpm. I think its 5,500rpm or something close to that

They will ask you what mods you have and than build the tune based off the mods you have currently

+Austin Rios All of the factory logic should still be in place to pass emissions testing. You obviously need to still have your factory catalytic converters in-place, but it shouldn't be a problem from the tune standpoint. When you go to purchase a tune and fill out your information for the tune specs itself, you can note "please make sure this passes smog testing", but even if that isn't noted, it should still be programmed that way regardless. BAMA is nowhere near as good as Unleashed - do some reading up on the forums, nobody takes the Bama tune seriously... Torrie at Unleashed knows what's up and did a great job with the tunes on these things... I've got it on my '16 Ecoboost Performance Package and love it

If I tuned my ecoboost mustang, and then took the tune off and took it to have work done.could they tell that it had a tune?

That's a great question and slightly hard to answer. Reason being, a dealer cannot detect what kind of tune was on the car if you returned it to stock. That being said, they can tell if the car was flashed and or how many key cycles took place recently. If your car is 2 years old and has only had 4 key cycles, they will know something is off. I always recommend speaking to your local dealership before modding your vehicle, but it can definitely be returned to stock. I'm going to be getting a downpipe for my Mustang EcoBoost if I put a 91 octane tune with this Unleashed tuner will that be safe? on the directions for the down pipe it says I need to reprogram the ECU for proper operation of the downpipe.. Will a 91 tune be the reprogramming of the computer that my downpipe needs??? please help... the directions recommend a Bama custom tune but I want to get the Unleashed tune...
