Omg what a refreshing video this was. No twenty minutes plus describing how you were at the grocery store and you bought some cantaloupes and spaghetti and how you mother in law thought the color of the truck is wrong and so on followed by 15 seconds just replace that part. You’re my hero thanks for a straight to the point this is how you solve this issue. Two thumbs up.
My $75,000 Ford Platinum F-150 '21 is doing the exact same thing! Thanks for posting and helping me solve one of the multiple problems with this OVERPRICED POS! Ford should pay you and many RU-vidrs for helping keep their POS trucks on the road!
The three master connector bundles up under the left rear of the box need to have the contacts cleaned of corrosion and lubricated with conductive grease. In fact any electrical connectors for the tailgate assembly needs the same maintenance preformed. F150s have a hundred or so connectors in the various harness looms exposed to the elements that should be addressed.
I tried to call on the recall and this guy told me they are only replacing wire harnesses for the tailgate unlatching issue. I’ll just knock it out like you did.
2015 F150 King Ranch Edition --- Okay - checked all the power tailgate fuses yesterday - all good but replace anyway. Rec'd new tailgate actuator this morning from Amazon. Installed - AND - still not working! Key fob batteries are brand new. HELP.....
@@d4sythe01i tried that too, it didn’t work for some reason the harness in the tailgate is getting power to everything but the button so im gonna try that end piece of the harness next
