They're cheaper to buy when they're air borne. Of course, you buy as is while in the air but you can save a few bucks on fuel as air borne f150 trucks have great fuel savings while in the air.
I've noticed by the trees around you that you probably have been holding on to the video of the car sale for a while. I've noticed it in other videos also, you really have a good sense for holding on to pieces and putting them together into a story.
Yes, those two pieces of video were nearly a year old now and filmed months apart from each other. It's hard to know when to use some things but hopefully it was topical enough. The yellow car really deserves it's own video probably.
Great video, Neil! Your advice on making a purchase is very helpful and well-reasoned. I've only had used vehicles too. I also enjoyed the storyline about your family's vehicles and the Banana's last ride, which was a great addition to your piece. When I was growing up, my family had a 1978 Chevy Suburban. It was tan-colored, had no air conditioning, and was prone to running out of gas. Despite its flaws, my parents would load all seven of us kids into the truck and take us on road trips across the Western United States.
Seeing the ol’ diesel wagon at the end was the icing on the cake, thank you Neil for all the time and effort you put into your videos…I look forward to every Sunday morning!

Thanks for the video Neil ! I haven't bought a new vehicle since a pickup I got in '78. I've mostly had good luck buying used. We are retired now and have been making a couple trips each year of 4,200 miles between MN & CA. Our Subaru's seats weren't very comfortable on long trips so when it died (I'd missed a timing belt change) we got a 2006 Lexus LS. After 3 trips out & back in the Lexus I am still happy with it. Like most of our vehicles I expect to keep driving the Lexus until it isn't worth the cost to fix anymore. We could afford almost any car we wanted but if it ever came to a contest of pinching pennies, I'd step into the ring with you any time son ! 😂

I just bought a 18 f150 with 140k 5.0 runs great. I always go through and do maintenance such as spark plugs belts. All the fluids changed as soon as I buy them.
I flush it a few times with some distilled water. I’m a little leery about the chemicals they want you to put in the cooling system. I heard they ruin water pumps.
Around 4 years old with fairly high miles is a smart set of criteria. That all but guarantees they're highway miles so the wear's a lot less than the same mileage in local traffic. By contrast my dad only bought 10 year old cars on the theory that everything major that could go wrong already had by that point. That theory was proven wrong A LOT, which is why I grew up learning how to turn a wrench. Buying stuff in Europe when you're stationed there in the military and bringing it home was definitely a thing. My dad for years had a high-end turntable and reel-to-reel tape deck that he picked up while stationed in Germany, and when he was due to get out in '68 they offered him a new Jaguar if he'd re-enlist and potentially get sent to Vietnam. He turned that down in favor of going to college on the GI Bill, which worked out a lot better for my ability to exist. Loved seeing the last ride of Quack-Quack. Those 80s Mercedes diesel wagons have a bit of a following because the drivetrains are pretty near indestructible, and they're not hard to work on.

Grissom AFB is over in Peru, IN and there were a lot of guys stationed there in the 80’s and early 90’s that had spent time in Germany. When the base closed around ‘93, they moved the 122nd Fighter Wing up to Ft Wayne.
My dad had a 1970 International Travelall. He bought it new. My brother & I had no clue what seatbelts were for. We were always climbing over the seats. Front to back, to way back. I closed the back door on my brothers fingers once. Dad was a cabinet maker, so he bought it because it fit a full sheet of plywood with the back seta folded down. Dad sold it in the mid 80's. By that time, it was pure rust. More holes than paint.
09 Platinum still running strong. Over 200k miles and paid 10k for it. The ol' girl has been through blizzards and snow drifts 3 feet deep. All I have done is regular maintenance and new tires. Awesome truck.
My first car was a 1973 Mercury Capri in 1991. I learned a lot about working on cars from that one. Partially because it broke down on me so many times. When the alternator went out I actually had to get the existing one rebuild because I couldn't find a new one anywhere (this was before the internet). Biggest lesson I learned from that car was that buying an old (not just used, but old) car could be far more trouble than it's worth - especially if you don't have a place to work on it and the knowledge to fix whatever goes wrong.
Agreed, that 300 straight 6 was a beast. My Dad had an 87 F150 with 4 speed manual. That truck pull everything we put behind it. I learned to drive manual in that truck. Great memories!

Nice to have you back. I caught a bit of your live stream last week but only the last few minutes. Just about when you mentioned "that's what's been going on". I just figured you took a well-deserved week off. Other than the obvious, (age) it amazes me how we seem to have similar ideas and histories. The 317 on the trailer struck me and the attachment to John Deere Garden tractors. The Ford trucks are almost exactly the models I've owned and my thinking about buying trucks (vehicles) is almost exactly the same as yours. I took my last "new to me" purchase on step further. In 2017, I purchased a 16 SCREW with a 3.5 V-6. I intentionally avoided the turbochargers mostly due to my experience with aircraft. I too just didn't want the unnecessary complexity but wanted the fuel mileage of the V6. I'm always amazed how that little engine can pump out the power at 21 MPG overall. It has never left me wishing for more. It had 23K on it when I purchased it, and now has just over 205k. It still looks and drives as good as the day I bought it. I had sold my 99 F250 crew with 7.3 (just like yours) that had 333K miles on it for about half of what the 16 cost. So, I had a very nice low milage truck for less than 10K out of pocket. It was the lower-level trim but a trip to the junk yard cured that. For another grand, I bought all the 302 trim stuff including a gauge cluster from Platinum. It's all basically plug and play with some changes to the computers which is rather easy to do. I also had a lot of help from the guys at the "F150 Ford Enthusiast" web site. I wouldn't recommend others as things can get messed up if you're not careful. At the first tire change, I upgraded to the 18" Platinum wheels and made the necessary corrections for the speedo. Also, very easy to do. In the end, I ended up with the truck I wanted but couldn't afford with no payments. I wouldn't recommend everybody jumping into this style of purchasing. But it works(ed) for me. I've from time to time thought about trading it, but I like that truck so much the thought soon passes. So, I totally agree with your point of view on these things. I just read this morning the average monthly payment on an F150 is just under $950 bucks per month. Great trucks, if you can afford them.

A trick I learned with black cars is get them washed and waxed good, then give them a rub down with lemon pledge. The static charge it gives keeps the dust off, keeping it looking clean longer, and the dirt that gets on it will supposedly wipe off easier. Personally I don't do black cars. I love the look, but down south, it's just too hot.
As a former car salesman, you’re nailing it with your buying process and selection. V-8 naturally aspirated engines are best. (Not usually the most economical, but they usually will outlast all other options) As for your Audi, I have seen in your other videos, you need to get out from under that. Run!
Ha! Glad to hear this from a pro ;) The Audi was a great vehicle for our family. The only thing it ever asked for was gas and oil. At 79K miles it was the lowest mile'd vehicle we had ever bought at the time but we sold it a couple months ago. It cost us $2K a year to own it plus tax, gas and maintenance of course. I didn't follow all my own advice with my wife's new vehicle @ 37K miles but it is a nice change of pace.
The part of the video about the Mercedes hit close to home... I just totalled my 2008 Chevy Cobalt. I bought it brand new. It was my first brand new car as a divorced woman who raised her kids with that car and taught them to drive in it. Ive hit at least 7-9 deer with it( I lost count). She has served me well and was starting to burn a gallon of antifreeze every 3000 miles(every oil change). I visited her the other day to make sure I cleaned her out of everything I needed, and while inside, I turned the key one last time. She started right up with no hesitation. I cried. She didn't want to give up. I thanked her for her 16 years of service, for keeping me safe when I needed it throughout our Wisconsin winters and especially when I hit the guardrail last week in some bad weather we just had but most of all....just being my favorite girl I've ever owned! Now she will be going onto do some service for our local small community volunteer fire and rescue as a prop car. I wont be there as I would not be able to watch her get cut up for training but have told her to find my dad in heaven as he was with me when I bought her. Just purchased a 2019 F150 XLT Sport Crew Cab 4x4 with 91,000 miles for $22,000. This truck looks so clean. I was very happy to find this one. I am with you, I will never buy new again.
I do all the automobile buying in my family. My husband trusts me and the research I do. He likes new but we keep it until if will not run anymore. I picked out his 2011 Dodge Avenger and it now has 178,000 miles. When we buy a car we pay on it for a year and then we pay it off completely. We do that because it keeps our credit score up in the 800's. I bought my Hyundai Santa Fe SUV in 2019. It's a 2019, I wanted no more than 5,000 miles on it and the list of standard safety features are amazing. I knew that in 2020 they were going to remove many of the "standard" safety features but add them on a luxury features where you had to pay extra for them. I got everything I wanted and it was still under warranty. I knew the 5,000 miles was enough to break in the newness and it was a small town's rental car therefore I knew the maintenance history on the car itself. It's 2024 and it just flipped to24,000 miles and runs great. No issues what so ever. I always do my 3-6 month research on my cars. I paid it off after a year during Christmas. We love not having payments on anything. We're completely debt free. We're able to travel every winter to Australia. My husband is retired and I'm a disabled/retired nurse.
Thanks Neil, this was a terrific video. I miss my ‘84 Nissan Sentra Diesel, a great little car with an engine that would run forever. Regrettably, the abundance of road salt in NE Ohio ate through the annually undercoated unibody in a dozen years. My ‘96 Ford Ranger went to it’s second owner in 2023. I hope to find one more truck before I’m too old to drive... I’m running out of years. I have a 2015 Expedition with the Ecoboost for work and I've really been pleasantly surprised. I would never have purchased one on my own but this thing has stood up to a lot of abuse (it has lights and sirens so you can imagine how it gets driven) and has held up flawlessly.
2002 Blue Silverado standard cab. Bought it in 2004 after we were told we could never have kid's. 1 yr later, pregnant with our only child. From the hospital the day she was born, elementary, middle, and high school, ole Blue has been there dropping off and picking up our daughter. Was the first vehicle she drove. The memories and miles made with a vehicle are something most of us cherish for a lifetime. Love this video very much Neil. Especially the video's and memories of the Banana car.

Good tips Neil. on buying a used car. I've had both new and used cars and trucks. You definitely can save a lot buying a clean, used vehicle. Prices for new cars today are really high. Probably due at least in part, to all the electronic systems they have. I like my 15-year-old beater car and 25-year-old project truck. I'll keep driving them until the wheels fall off! We spend so much time in our vehicles that they do seem to be a part of the family. It must have been hard for your wife to see the old Mercedes go off to its new home.
I bought a 2014 Ram 1500 with a blown motor and 80k miles on it from a friend, it was super clean just had a blow motor for whatever reason. I bought it, went to a junk yard, found a similar truck that was hammered in the rear, it was a 2017 with 50k miles on it, same exact motor. I bought the motor for $700 from the junk yard and paid a guy another $700 to put it in my truck, that was probably 4 years ago now and its a freaking awesome truck. I had a few other things done to it as well. All said and done I was in it for like $6500 total give or take. I don't drive it a lot as I have an EV I mostly drive and another diesel truck I pull an RV with but it now has 115k miles on it. I turned down 20K for it a few months back from a friend of mine, no way would I sell it for that. Its probably what its worth in reality but I rather have the truck then the $20k. I tend to buy older low milage truck from old guy's. My F250 I bought with 84k miles on it, its a 2003, bought it probably in 2017 so the old guy didn't drive it a lot. I paid $13.5 for it back then which was a lot but its the 7.3L diesel and is probably worth more then that now with only 125k miles on it as I have done a lot of nice things to it, put 18 inch modern wheels on it, complete brake job and front end rebuild, all new head and tail lights, etc. It has original white paint, never been hit other then some minor hail damage, clean Texas rust free truck. I will never sell it.
Dang. That's good stuff! I'd love to find a good buy on an older 7.3 just to have it around. Most of them around here have all been handed down to construction crews and are clapped out beyond belief though.
I bought a new to me truck last year and it come down to an older f150 or a 2016 tundra. I ended up going with the tundra but a mechanic friend told me either tundra or ford with that coyote v8. He said either way was a solid option.
Two years ago we spent 19,000 (includes tax) on a 2004 Dodge RAM 2500. It has the 5.9 Cummins. Been real happy with it. Everything has been easy to work on it. I plan on keeping it for as long as I can. It was well taken care of and I don't have to do DEF. I would never get the ECO-boost after seeing the difficulty when the water pump goes out.
Well thought out plan! Being in Canada, my budget was to be $30K, which got me a 2016 XLT with the 302A package and the 3.5 Ecoboost. Since I wasn't going to be towing, the fuel mileage was where my choice of importance was. I've had the truck now for 4 years, and it runs as good now, as it did when I bought it, clocking in at 138,000 miles. It had an exhaust manifold on warranty early on, and I put a throttle body on myself (20 minutes) and I do 5K oil changes. I have zero complains with this truck, although I realize, like all of them, something 'could' go wrong, so it's best to have a cushion for that reality. My truck is paid for, has the 36 gallon fuel tank, so the odd long haul is an easy task. I've heard of numerous oil burning 5.0 trucks and 10 speed transmission issues on numerous Facebook and RU-vid video's over the last couple of years, so I know, like all trucks, one can get a dud, or get lucky, as I feel I have. Recently heard of a 2011 ecoboost with over 500K on it, and I'm sure there are 5..0's out there with the same...so get what you can afford, and enjoy your truck, which ever your choose!
In 2019 my dad sold his powerstroke and bought a brand new f150 stx 4wd 3.5 ecoboost for 34,900 ... it has 50k on it now and not a single problem and they still offer him around what he paid for it if he would trade it in !!! Its unreal how in the past 3 years how the price of trucks has gone up , I agree with you I'm not foolish enough to pay 100k for a new diesel pickup or over 50 for an f150 !!!! My mom had a volvo wagon with that backwards seat in the back and me and my siblings would fight over who got to sit there 😂😂😂
I like your way of thinking. My last 3 trucks have had 150k plus with one having 225k miles all with V8's. My current truck is only the second brand new truck I have owned. The only reason I bought it was I got 0% interest "1 good thing to come out of Covid" 2020 ford f150 with the 5.0 with 66K on the odometer. love the truck. Keep up the great videos!!!
I'm a 3.5 ecoboost guy for power and towing. the 5.0 looks the same on paper, but doesn't have the usable low end torque like the twin turbo truck . For high mile longevity I would have gone with the 5.0 as well. Now its time for a new set of Bfg at ko2! Meguiers makes a wax for black vehicles that covers up most swirls and scratches works great!
I'm interested in that wax! I kind of enjoy the labor of making the black look clean, but it may wear on me! My white 2015 had the 2.7L Ecoboost. They are great trucks and could go another 100K without any issues. We also have another G&K truck with the 3.5 EB and one more with the 5.0.
I have a different strategy. I buy new, but then take care of my vehicles meticulously and keep them forever. Later on it’s like having an old used vehicle that you know the maintenance history on which was always taken care of. Buying used is like rolling dice at the table unless you know the vehicles history.
@@digdrivediy Good point, my current vehicles are a 2009 F150 and 2013 SUV. I live in the northeast so my biggest challenge is keeping them rust free. They are both pretty much still just like the day they drove off the lot in all aspects so I expect to get another 10-15 years out of each with any luck. I figure if I put two payments worth of wear parts into them each year proactively I am still far ahead of the game.
My grandpa had 2 c class wagons, 1 nicer than the other. The nice one had the single wiper on the windshield and 2 small wipers on the headlights. You don't forget seeing something like that at 10 years old!
I've only purchased one vehicle private party, and that was my first vehicle. That was a '98 2WD S10. The most recent ones I got from a dealer as certified pre-owned. They were only 3-4 years old at the time I purchased them. Main thing I like about getting a CPO from a dealer is, that I get free state inspections (not emissions). Each vehicle I've had also lasted eight years.
Great video brother, I have a 2011 Ford F150 with a 5.0L Coyote V8 in it with 160,000 miles on it and still going strong 💪, It was my dad's truck when he bought it new back in 2011 for his company vehicle, then when his car allowance was up and needed a new company car, instead of trading it in he decided to give the truck to me so that it stays in our family, my first truck I have (which now I use to take to car shows) is a 1996 Ford F150 with a 5.0L (302) Windsor V8 with 210,000 miles on it and still going strong, the only things I replaced on my old truck was the starter, the rear fuel pump, and the power steering magnesium but other then that mostly was just simple maintenance, took out the transmission fluid just to get rid of the shuttering it was making and it hasn't had a problem ever since.
I noticed the red SVO Mustang in the intro as well as the 5.0 ... both great cars. For me, cars have been the cornerstones of my life. I blame it on the era of growing up in the 60's and 70's watching and wanting the Boss Mustangs and Shelby Cobras. I wouldn't change it for anything. Pick a car and there was a fond memory that accompanied it. I'm going through the same issue of needing a pickup to tow my Mustang and not wanting to pay $65k for something that will depreciate over 18% in the 1st year. Its a daunting task to find a compromise.

I bought a f150 fx2 2012 with 200k miles, 2 owners. The truck work great it has some rust since its from Michigan but 4 months with the truck and I'm just in love with it.
I bought my 2016 f150 new. It was my first new vehicle I’ve ever owned. I know it’s over kill. But a little advice would be to change the oil when it hits 50%. I know everyone thinks I’m nuts but I’ve don’t that since I’ve owned my truck an now it’s close to 200 thousand miles on it and runs like a dream with no leaks and no problems. An I would have the transmission flushed every year. It’s around 200 or so dollars to have it done. The 10r80 has a problem with a spring in the valve body that sticks. Other then that it should last you for many many years to come. Happy driving an congratulations on the new truck.
Neil, I work for Ford, I am on my 3rd F150 lease all 2.7 turbo charged, i`m getting 20.4 miles per gallon in the city, if you drive like a normal person this truck sips gas. I do not tow anymore I sold all of my toys, i`m 61 now, so no more towing for me. I don`t care if it`s Ford, Ram or Chevy these new engines have very tight tollerances, and the timing chains are huge, timely oil changes are a must, and if you noticed the oil filters are tiny to save room, I was told with todays new oils, it`s not the oil braking down at 5.000 miles that kill an engine, but the little filters abillity to keep it clean and send oil every where it needs to go, like on top of the camshafts. These new filters are tiny, and the turbo motors run a little hotter, if you start loosing oil to the camshafts, kiss the camphazers and timing chains goodbye. My final truck I plan on buying will be used, but I will try to purchace it from one owner and preferably an older gentleman who I know stayed on top of oil changes, be well.
Excellent advice. My white company truck was the 2.7L. Towing trailers as often as we do it had a lifetime average of 15.8 mpg. It just had to work too hard to tow all the time. The '15 V8 that we have at work only tows trailers and has a bit better mpg average.
I love what you’re preaching brother! I have a couple of new (bought new) cars in the garage my (she’s an OCN nurse and Infusion nurse) so she has to be in a very reliable vehicle (Toyota) and my daughter ( she drives my grandkids around😁) everyone else drives an older vehicle bought old. I drive a 2004 GMC Sierra which my sister gave me when her husband died (RIP Mike) and then I have three more old cars in the driveway for various drivers.
That is a really great purchase price. You nailed all the key items to be considered when looking for a new vehicle! Congrats on the purchase. 5 of the best F150 mods that I did to my 2018 F150 were (1) the easy drop lift gate strut, (2) retractable RetraxOne Aluminum Tonneau Cover, (3) added additional in bed and under dash and seat interior entry/exit lightning (4) easily build out a custom storage system for under the back seats to keep it a work truck when work is need and a family truck when family mode is needed. And fianlly (5) the drivers side back seat quick release latch sold on ebay and amazon creates a very safe/secure place for storing your "bear solution" if one is ever needed. As part of his “Think about the work you leave for others.” philosophy, my grandfather taught me to always detail your car or truck before taking it in to the mechanic. When I asked him why he said “one, because it’s just polite to not make someone else work in your mess, and two, people tend to treat your things the way you treat them. If it’s a mess you lower the bar of expectations.”
Great tips on looking for a used vehicle. I almost bought a used car until I opened the gas filler door…it was filthy so the previous owner obviously didn’t wash the car very often. Didn’t buy it.

I really appreciate this video. So many guides on buying a budget used car suggest 10+ year old vehicles. Call me spoiled, but I don’t want to buy a car that old. There are modern amenities I could live without, but don’t want to.
Researching the TCO or True Cost of Ownership is a good lead as well. TCO includes maintenance, wear and depreciation. MPG is a not a true declaration of Cost per Mile.
Great points! I also prefer to buy from individuals and, if I view the vehicle at their home, I also checkout how that take care of the house. If they take care of the home and property they are more likely too have taken care of the vehicle
I was in a 98 4x4 manual ranger for 10 years it had 200k miles on it never broke down but i just finally sold her 3 days ago after buying a 2018 2.7 4x4 ecoboost XLT F150 with 80k miles for $21000!! Its the nicest truck i ever had there are deals out there to be had right now bad economy nobody is buying so car lots are desperate! cool video
I follow a similar approach, 5-7 year old truck, I don't care about how many owners it's had, I try to keep it within 80-100K miles. I also agree that if the interior was babied, it usually means the rest of the truck was well maintained. I am a sucker for the Lariat Trim so I usually go for that trim. My previous truck, was a 2009 5.4 ford f150 Lariat, I bought it with 89K miles in 2014, for $20K. My latest one is a 2015 f150 Lariat, 82K miles, glass roof, bed cover, I bought it in 2022 for $28K. I then keep the car until the wheels fall off, or as it was with my last F150, until it got totalled in an accident. I still got $17.5K for it, so I only lost 2.5K and drove it 7 years. Another tip, I always buy from a dealer, but I go to another brand dealer. My first f150, I bought at an infinity dealer, and my latest came from a Toyota dealer both in high end areas, and I usually pay $3-5k under the going rate.

Long time viewer, first time commenter, but your video this week hit the mark for me. My parents bought a new Subaru wagon in 1998 when I was about ten years old. Grew up in that car, learned to drive in it, and ended up buying it from my dad about twelve years ago. I have used it off and on as a winter car and snowboard rig. I finally sold it this week, after a lot of options-weighing, because I just don't drive it anymore and I have a lot of other vehicles, all of which serve more of a purpose to me at this stage in life than the Subaru does. I'm sad to see it go but I think the new owner is going to appreciate it for what it is, and I can put the money into my other project trucks. But it was sort of comforting in a way to see the story of the Mercedes, and I could really relate to this one. Great video and great storytelling.
Wow. This was most appreciated. I'm looking for a truck, so I really felt confident when you said engine, V8. That's what I'm looking for since I currently own a 2017 Mustang GT 5.0. Although my ECM went out 2023, I love this engine.
I'm with you on used trucks, my last new truck was 18 years ago and drove that truck 15 years and 225,000 miles so def got my money's worth. But in 2006 I was able to get a 4x4 full size crew cab V8 pickup for $26,000 now that gets you 100,000 miles plus. To me how it was taken care of is alot too. If someone didn't keep a clean truck they probably weren't worried about oil changes and maintenance. And the new engines with the 4cyl turbos and whatnot, junk as far as I'm concerned. My buddy has a 2021/22 Chevy 1500 with the 4cyl turbo and I have a 2016 with the V8 and my truck will tow circles around his even though the dealer told them they were equal. On the other hand the engine in my dad's truck went at 80,000 miles, you never know.
Very true. You never know cause there are horror stories for every make, model, engine or transmission option. We hear about the bad stuff all the time but not as often about the reliable truck that never let a guy down.
Great story, Neil. It didn't beat my ALL-TIME favorite video of yours (Your parents' 1963 Corvette), but it came darn close. In 2007, my Dad bought a 14-year-old truck with 190,000 miles off the neighbor for $800. I still drive it, with over 250,000 miles on it today. Oh, and it's a 1993 Ford Ranger. I hope I never have to upgrade!! HA! 😁
Black and your stone drive are probably not compatible. I still have my 3rd black vehicle. I have always ended taking them in for paint protection. The scratches always drove me crazy. My average time to keep a vehicle is 8 years if you do not count my 78 Chevy Cheyenne I had 23 years or my 2002 Chevy Avalanche I kept 18 years. I my opinion you made the best Ford engine choice.
My personal choice of couse is ford BUT I stay away from the 5.4 triton they have the most problems with the valve train . My 2009 has the bullet proof 4.6 L and I can tow anything the 5.4 can

Love my 2020 lariat, bought it new. Performance tuned, it’s a beast, over 500hp! Never had an issue! Same with my old trade in. 2014 lariat 3.5l. Love my Fords, but I’m old school with maintenance. 3,000 miles city 5,000 miles highway oil changes. Full synthetic, zero issues!! 😁😁
I just scored a 2015 F-150 5.0 FX4 Supercab Lariat, one owner with 230k for $11,500. Changed the oil pan gasket and the engine was spotless. So satisfied with the purchase. Original sticker was a bit over $50k.
The process of buying a Benz, while stationed in Europe, and shipping it home was a very popular practice in the 60s. You could purchase it, drive while stationed and the military would ship it home for you. You could buy the car, use it, ship it home and save a ton on what you would've spent had you bought it here.
Always had my grandpas mindset on vehicles, my dads side always had to buy new cars and trucks and my grandpa had a 08 chevy v6 with 510,000 miles. He never cared for new trucks and i always owned junk. I own a 02 f250 diesel with 135,000 miles, before i had a rotted out ram 2500 cummins with 510,000 miles and always had good memories!
I just did the same thing. I daily drove a 04 f250 5.4 4x4 bought it in 2016 with 140,000 just retired it running perfectly with 230,000 miles strong. It was an excellent truck. I saved and just bought a 2018 f150 5.0 4x4 with 120,000 for 17,000 and i could not be happier. Its a rocket compared to my old superduty. Blue Oval 4 life.

Great video! I bought my 2012 F-250 with 100,000 miles for $23,000. I’m the third owner and bought it from my local Ford dealership. Also it’s a Georgia truck, where I live. Always try to buy a southern truck (no salt). Always enjoy your videos.
