Actually sounds pretty cool and the turbo whistle is excellent. These cars are slept on because they don’t have bigger engines but I think they’re sick. Beautiful cars as well.
Supercar looking... But it's as fast as an old 370z or any entry level sportscar that costs half as much new. The power and sound really don't match the looks unfortunately, but it dropped in price a lot especially before covid so if you like the design, it's attainable
@@iSOBigD It’s as quick as any sports car of the time. 911s, other M-Division cars, the R8 lineup of the time all did 0-60mph in about 4s. People are just giving it shit because it’s a 3 cylinder turbo.
@@airforce660-60 isn’t the power rating people do. It has awd. Look at its 60-130. It’s slower than every super car in the metric. 60-130 is the only thing that matters.
@@2seep 80-120kph times is still on par with cars like the M4, 991 GTS, R8 V8. Anything over 160kph/100mph works against the i8’s early electric powertrain.
I was so excited when i first saw the look of them. Woulda been bmw's best ever car if they stuck a v8 inside of it. I wonder why they dont make a new v8 i8 nd call it a p8 😂
It doesn’t sound too bad giving me Toyota vibes 🤣😆can’t believe BMW didn’t make this car a v8 and make a line of them in the way Chevy is exploiting their new c8design 🤷🏾♂️
@@dancearoundtheworld5360 what u even talking about. obviously the car is a 3 cyl hybrid. they only say it ab 40 million times in the video. it’s gas. I said it sounded like a diesel. no need for the correction.
In my country , used i8 go for like 79k and under , i am talking about the 351hp version And i am 15 so i think i8’s gonna be more cheaper when i get my license at 17
What I would like is those tips to be on the left and right side. Right where the black bumper aerodynamic plastic pieces are. The job is awesome no matter what.
Thanks for sharing!! I thought the Vroom-vroom from the i8 came from the internal sound system (prior to muffler delete of course)? We had a BMW driving event at work back in 2015 or so and were allowed to drive both the i8 and the i3 around the 1.5 mile perimeter road on our work campus. I tried both, thought that the i3 was kind of a joke (I was driving a Nissan LEAF at the time, which was much more of a real car). The i8 was cool, but my tall, round, inflexible carcass could barely get in and out of it.
Mine does 0-60mph in 4s, 155mph, thats not bad for a 10 year old car. There are a lot of supercars with similar performance, maybe less than 0.2 to 1 second faster 0-60. Some are slower and have FAR bigger engines and worse MPG.
It's a hybrid. It has a 1.5 liter, 3 cylinder turbo engine in addition to an electric motor (and a 7.1 to 11.6 KWh battery). There's a wiki page dedicated to it if you want to learn more.
@@Pickitup_putitdownThis is your car? It looks awesome, great taste in style! Could you share what brands the body kit pieces and the wheels are? I’m currently shopping for an i8 and researching their aftermarket options
