RYAN MOORE is simply fantastic. I wish i put more than $40 on her to win! 7 lb weight shift, first time lasix in U.S. Handles off going, the sire and Aidan O'brien owns this race. Main reason i played? The fact that she was here and not the Filly & Mare turf caught my eye.
Kind of interesting that the two losses Golden Horn suffered in his brief racing career were to fillies both times. He was beaten by a neck officially by Arabian Queen in the G1 Juddmonte International Stakes at York and by a 1/2 length officially by Found here in the G1 Breeders Cup Turf.
I have seen horses with big leads on the front end? But even LARRY COLMUS was amazed! I went OMG also! SHINNG COPPER a 25 length lead! But how many times has a rabbit been in a race only to be won by another horse? Two Fantastic Riders Moore & Dettori battling in the stretch too!
What a great sub-plot beginning to take shape for the 2016 Breeders Cup Turf. To date, we've still never had an Arc winner that's won the Breeders Cup Turf in the same year. But, has there ever been a Breeders Cup Turf winner that returned to Europe and won the very next renewal of the Arc, because Found has now done just that. It's kind of ironic that last year she spoiled Arc winner Golden Horn's chances of making history by winning both races in the same year, and now assuming she goes to Santa Anita to defend her crown, she'll have the chance to make that same history herself.
It might be fair to say this filly had a lot of 2nd place finishes at G1 level during her career in races she probably should've won many of. But at the end of the day, Found's career resume' still reads that she won the G1 Prix Marcel Boussac as a two year old, the G1 Breeders Cup Turf as a three year old, and the G1 Prix De l'Arc de Triomphe as a four year old, and that my friends ain't too shabby by anyone's standards, IMO.
She currently holds the distinction of being the only horse in history to win both the Breeders' Cup Turf and the Arc. I think that's not too shabby indeed.
There is no bigger fan of AOB but I really think Golden Horn easily wins this contest if the race was at Santa Anita.....the ground was just to soft for GH. Easy play against on this day.
If you want to see what shining copper can really do check out the joe Hirsch. Because of Shining Copper, BBK, broke the Belmont track record.(set by Secretariat, but this race is on turf and secretariat ran on grass
Man the jock on Shining Copper didn't even try. I know that he is supposed to be a rabbit( horse that goes off at insane speed so that his better stable mate,Big Blue Kitten, has a better chance at winning, vault at least try to win the race. Shining Copper wasn't even asked for more, and he looked like he had more to give.
+Erin Meany The one rule about pacemaking is the pacemaker must be respected. This pacemaker wasn`t. It is a sad tale of Yank grass horses that two Europeans can come to Kentucky and spank bottom at the end of an arduous season. Just a shame that connections of the winner used lasix.
+Erin Meany If Ken Ramsay, the owner, doesn't even respect the horse why should anyone else? I really like Shining Copper but he'll never be given a chance to run HIS race because he'll always be a rabbit for his stablemate.
They announced he was going to Calumet when he retired, but I don't think they've officially retired him yet. He's not listed on Calumet's website either.

Unexpected, but a great effort by Found. Somewhat oddly, Golden Horn's only losses have come at the hands of fillies; first Arabian Queen, now Found. Probably just coincidence, but I find it a bit odd to think of a colt that stomps all over his fellow males easily but then loses to females.
+VialliForever Found has been second in both the English and Irish Champion Stakes and deserves a Group 1 prize, the filly's second overall after first Group 1 win in France. Golden Horn made it a 1-2 for Europe. What about the pacemaker, 15 lengths clear approaching halfway but of course the lead swamped up quickly. The winner is by Galileo and I can say now that the former Derby winner is champion sire again.
uhegbu Yes, Found is very nice. I'm glad she won, though I'm fond of Golden Horn as well. The pacemaker did alarm me a bit when I thought there was a chance he might just get away, but I relaxed once they started reeling him in. It was a nice race all around.
Well on proper ground horn runs all over found but I new something like this would happen they been turfin up the ground all day it's prob soft after havin tons of horses turf in it up all day horn got unlucky prob looked at the fillies and got the horn lolll
what angers me is the fact that most people think that found won on her own merits. Not true she was given Lasix before the race and anybody that doesn't know about Lasix should read about it. Horses that have noise bleeds is due to genetic breeding and Lasix is supposed to help with that problem it also helps the horse when it comes to racing. The horse given Lasix can lose up to 12kilos in weight. Work that one out, also the americans use bute which is a pain killer. The whole of the world outside America ban it. So do tell me the why americans like a lot of things they do to win, er lance Armstrong, carl lewis, flo jo, plus many others, have to resort to those measures .

I guess the 7 lb weight differential didn't make the difference, SHINING COPPER on a stupid suicide mission, a brilliant ride by Ryan Moore, Her stamina pedigree didn't make a difference. It was lasix. A legal medication MANY european trainers have used for the Breeders Cup.
What should've happened in the Irish Champion Stakes. That interference cost Found the race, and she proved here that she is clearly better than Golden Horn on soft going.

The owner of the runner up should be given enormous credit for not putting narcotics into his "pet" for the sake of it ! America has this ridiculous approach to drugs ; if your athletes take em, send them to prison (Marion Jones)but you can do what you want in horseracing. It hardly sends a message that the A.S.P.C.A would approve of.

The best vets in America regularly admit publicly that they don`t know what effect, good or bad, they have on horses so I would say "don`t risk it then!" Frankel and Secretariat didn`t need them.

John kaufman. I am fully aware of the illegality of lasix. In america its legal in eurlope its illegal so was dld aob use it on found. When andre fabe and john gosden refuse. I have worked with horses for most of my life and I know what even mild drugs can do. So unless you can argue about lasix I suggest you look for a trainer who refuses to use drugs. Is that why we so american trainers race their horses in europe. On flapper tracks in america an average of nearly a 100 horses are killed.

+Barbara Dyson Because most horses do not run on turf in the USA. Doesn't Europe have mainly turf? I do know they race in Dubai Cup. I think that is dirt. Mainly dirt here. I also believe that Europe has too many horses in some of their races. Europe is dominant on turf. The was a couple of horses scratched because of bleed, one of them was a favorite racing against AF, so no, not all American trainers give Lasix, which is a drug commonly prescribed to dogs to treat heart problems.
+51Saffron Perfect Saffron ! Good European horses that show a preference for fast ground usually get exported to America to become stallions. Those who handle wetter surfaces are retained. It`s all about the weather really. The more I read, the more I realise that every great horse anywhere in the world can be traced back to two Derby winners ; Hyperion 1933 and Mahmoud 1936, who held the track record for fifty nine years until his unbeaten great great great great grandson Lammtarra broke it in the 1995 Derby.The problem with Lasix is that there is nothing conclusive; all the experts say they don`t know the long term harm it does. The great George Strawbridge is not keen, and he is American. Ban it I say unless you are happy to put it in your dog or cat !

Because bute is legal in America an awful lot of young horses break down before their time, too much stress is put on them over the short distance races. Why use drugs to prove your horse is the best, stupid question, it's called money. English horses have run on the dirt in America and beaten their best.

Yes. all TB,s come from 3 arabs darly & godolphin abd berley turk. The godolphin is buried at wandlbury cambridgeshire. But one of the 3 arabs is in danger of his line disappearing.I must let you know I have owned. xTB's and pure TB's all my life my blacksmith worked for Noel Murless. It's his fault and my husband is a horse widower. I wasn't actually asking where TB,'s came from it was more about saying frankel was the greatest horse ever.
