Hello. I had an 04 f150 heritage before I got the 08. I couldn't find a k&n intake for my 08. So I took the k&n intake I had on my 04 and put it in my 08. The 08 was wider so I couldn't use the heat shield and it also didn't attach correctly because of the wider width. So I had to zip tie it in place. I think by now, you should be able to find plenty if intakes that fit an 08. Also I had a 4.2L V6. As for exhaust, it was 100% factory.
Well your 08 f150 sounded pretty mean in the video and that why I like it hopefully I get to make my 07 Ford F-150 v6 sounding good like yours thank you for the reply have a safe day
@@ruben_glz-fr8sb no problem. Any intake should get it close to that sound. It definitely was the meanest sounding V6 I've ever had and I've had 7 of them. Also if you have a manual transmission, I found that shifting at 5000rpm was quicker than shifting any higher than 5000. I bought that truck new and got rid of it with 99,980 miles in 2014. I raced around in it a lot and only had the slave cylinder go bad and the synchronizer for 4th gear got messed up. I also got a custom tune on it from vmp tuning a few years later which made it a bit quicker.
Yea man I really appreciate it for the reply sadly my truck is a automatic I had got it from my grandpa and it’s my first truck I’m trying to make it look good but I definitely agree with you that your f150 sounds mean and nice I don’t like these when they straight pipe the v6 f150 it dose not sound good but I love the sound of your v6 hopefully your truck is still on the road and I hope I can get my f150 to sound as good as your f150 I have a blessed day🙏🏼🙏🏼
In 2010-2017 no. Its full time awd but the computer changes the amount of power transferred to the wheels depending on the situation. 09 and earlier have a button and 18 and newer have a button tho.
My 15 did. I believe its standard on 15+ models and was optional on earlier models, but not 100% sure on that. Older ones had it in the rearview mirror, the newer ones had it on the radio screen.
10-17 don't have one. Its full time awd if you have an awd one.. it automatically adjusts power where its needed. The 09 snd older and the 18 and newer have a button tho.
@@timmypstyle Mine was fish tailing all over the place going 20 miles under the speed limit. Google was saying it is on the side of the throttle then another Google answer said it was in the center console. Couldn't see it. First snowfall in Northern Michigan. So basically it was just the weather? That sucks for an awd. I fish tailed right into the other lane but maneuvered it into the other lane thank God noone else was on that side of the road. Just bought it last week so I am getting used to it. Even the manual doesn't say anything so you are right. Just crazy because I got it for winter time use. First time it hit 32 and it was snowing. I was going super slow and still losing control lol. Could've just been the ice under the snow eh?
@@CryptoMoonShot-om3hp mine did pretty well in the snow and ive heard many say they are tanks in snow. If your awd system is working normal, it might just be the tires that are on it. Altho many are "all weather", some don't do very well in rain and snow. Do you happen to know what tires it has on it?
