I have the same problem and it only happens when the gas tank is under half, I’m to believe after three years of dealing with it that it is a bad sensor or float that doesn’t quite detect the amount of gasoline in the vehicle , the fob has been replaced before so I know that isn’t the case. I sometimes have this same problems, but most often than not I'm led to believe it is a car battery. But this new bit of infomation that you shared may have to be looked into.
