what? my 7 speed c7 made 460 wheel 480 lbs torque on just headers, cat delete and tune. maybe that dyno was reading too high?

If the Dyno you were on was set to STD and not SAE it will show higher numbers. Normally E85 in an NA application is worth 35-35 more HP.

I think your tuner is a Mustang guy.... with E85 you should be way better. my wife's c7 z518 speed automatic dyno'd 482 hp /488 tq using only intech holley cai, long tube headers, x pipe, billy boat pipes, and the GM performance cat back system, well tuned with 93 and little dash of 108 on a 77 degree day

Tbh only 454hp that much when the 5.0s doing over 500hp with same setup and sucks because love get corvette but just numbers pushing me away tbh..

That was 455 to the wheel in an auto. The new 5.0’s are doing 480 to the crank. When you figure in the drive train loss and add the headers and e-85, they should be close to each other. I ran a new 5.0 in my bone stock C8 and we were neck and neck, I couldn’t pull on him and he didn’t pull on me. His was modified with some bolt ons and headers and a tune. Good run to be sure. In the end, just buy what you want because you will dump money into either of them if you want to go faster and beat your buddy.

My 8 speed z51 C7 made 397whp and it has a cam and x pipe. It was 100 degrees out on the pull though. Those are some really good numbers

Do the pull when the temp is closer to in the 80's and you'll see probably 410 or so

@@DoggyB22 there’s nothing wrong with the car he tuned it in 4 gear on an automatic. And like I said it was over 100 degrees outside. The way that car pulls there’s no way it has 397 to the tires. That car is def faster than the mustang I have with 625hp and it’s a 6 speed. I wasn’t there solely for a dyno either I was getting the tune profile looked at because I bought the car used.

I have a 2016 C7 stingray with a 93 tune, CAI,longtubes and catless xpipe and I made 430 rwhp & 458 torque.. what should it make if I get E85,

I have 14 Z51 with same mods you have and made almost the exact hp & tq you did. Did the E85 tune and picked up 20hp.

That is pretty low, they normally make around 460

My '19 base has the GM CAI, E85, TSP LT headers, catless x pipe to Borla ATAKs. I put a 93 and E85 tune in it. 460 hp on E. 431 on 93 to the wheels. These are decent gains. The sound is out of this world.

Who are these people commenting on numbers? These numbers are what you should expect. I have a very similar setup but with Borlas. I pulled 5 more HP and 12 more ft lbs. I sat in on dyno day to watch my guys dial her in.

I'm headed to a similar mod path. How is the cabin smell with the catless headers? idle, cruising etc.

Only time you can smell anything is inside the shop when you 1st fire it up. It's still no where near as bad as my ZL1. Everything else is no different than stock except for the exhaust note with the headers. No drone at highway speeds.

MisterM I am fully straight piped and let me tell you it is dependent entirely on the tune. If it’s tuned poorly you will smell straight gas, but if it’s tuned well you won’t smell a thing.

So you did headers xpipe intake and now you have 455 Wheel horsepower??? What is E-85 is that a tuning kit ? I have the same mods but without the kid. How much hp should I win?

I had a total gain of 60 wheel HP over stock numbers. E85 on a N/A car will get you about 25-30 more HP over what mods you have. A little more if you have more mods like heads and a Cam.

Straight E85 from the local OnCue. I believe it is anywhere from 60-68%

Iamjulianromero yeah from what I seen this is in line with what others with similar mods are making. You will gain about 20-30 HP on a N/A Direct Injected car, a little more if it is Port Injected. I can take it to a different dyno and get 20 hp less or take it to another dyno in town and get it to read about 50 hp more. It all depends on how the Dyno is set up and the conditions on the day of the Dyno. Not to worried about the numbers, I have walked a 5th Gen ZL1 with headers and a tune making 526hp and a stock ZL1 1LE that makes 650 at the crank.

This is common with all C7 direct injection corvettes.

@@generalrambo1516 it’s the E85. It’s not as dense as gas so it won’t cold start as easily running on ethanol. It’s pretty common among Mustangs too

The car made 396 stock. Headers and E85 installed it picked up 60HP, those are solid numbers for a base C7 with an Automatic.
