Shit I did the timing chain phasers and now I'm doing this job. they run grate when they do but when they don't it sucks. I love it but the tried and tested 5 liter might have been the better choice. the new 3.5l has the bugs worked out. my 2012 direct injection just does not have longevity. The maintenance is mental
What made it a 4 hour job? After watching this video, I’m guessing that it would take me about 20 minutes to remove the fender liner (not sure I’d have to), and then no more than 10 to remove the heat shield - and maybe another 10 to blindly fish for that 7mm sensor bolt. This is also the only video I’ve found that MAY be the right fix for my 3.5L EcoBoost Expedition that SHOULD have the same layout.
He also did his best to film it and even give us a view through the mirror. I did not see any filming or production setup factored into your tight schedule. How did you make that a 40 minute job is a better question?
@@bsdadjokes6839 I wasn’t smack talking. I was asking for insight given his experience now - I just completed the job yesterday - and after watching the video - mostly because of him using the mirror - I removed the heat shield in 5 minutes, and had the part out in another 10. My buddy came over to help and unclipped the new damn sensor and dropped it into the transmission bell - which made it a 12 hour job given that I had to go rent a bore snake and play peekaboo via the starter hole in the other side of the transmission. - my biggest takeaway: take off the driver side fender and use a bore snake camera
Mine just went out and the engine goes into safe mode. You can brake or coast to a stop and it will not restart. CODES: P0335, P061C Prior to the sensor breaking I had passed a truck and when I did that I felt a little stutter in the acceleration. 1 minute later the truck said Hill Climb Assist error and went into safe mode---dead.
